There is essentially no assembly required, which makes it very convenient when you want to move it around the yard. It does come with stakes to secure it to the ground, but I already had some extras that I liked better, so I used those instead. It works fine for full-size chickens, but I could see quail or other smaller birds potentially squeezing out underneath it. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that this is definitely **not predator-proof**. I would not use it as a secure enclosure overnight. It is really designed to let your chickens graze in different areas of the yard while still keeping them contained during the day. For that purpose, it works well. Size: 157*30*24 inches
This is **very quick to install**—basically unfold it, position it, and stake it down. The portability is definitely the best feature. The problem is that **curious little chicks are remarkably good escape artists**. On even slightly uneven ground, they can find little gaps underneath the edges and squeeze right out. To really keep chicks contained, I found I needed to stake the edges **every few inches**, and there simply aren't enough stakes included to do that effectively. Other users have similarly noted that additional stakes/staples are needed to keep the bottom tight against the ground. This may be much less of an issue with **full-size 🐓**, which aren't nearly as talented at turning a 1-inch gap into an escape route. Overall, **great concept and very convenient setup**, but if you're using it for young chicks, budget for a bunch of extra ground staples. Also find it a bit small (heightwise) if you plan to house several full grown chickens. ... show more

    • Convenient way to offer chickens more room to run, but needs some addition for the best use

This is a creative idea and an overall convenient way to offer your chickens, or maybe even other pets, more room to run. But while quite roomy, bigger than expected, this does need some addition to be stable enough for best use. The hoops are pretty solid by themselves, and does stand by itself, but especially if something bumps the tunnel, the end piece does best when secured against something. Since the end can be opened with a zipper, we’re using a magnet to hold the end against a wall, and that’s working great. If you open this between two structures, or connected to other tunnels, it should work a bit better, though it will likely still been hit from some supports. While not very wieldy, I do like this can be compressed down into a flat unit. It’s still not small by any means, but while flat, it can be stored against a wall easily. The tunnel is quite big, and offers chickens more than enough room to run. The side material is strong enough to hold against claws and effectively separates animals, though I wouldn’t leave this outside at night with racoons around. I don’t think it would be an issue, but just in case. Overall, this is a good option and adds a nice, roomy base, but expect to work to make it fit your garden and area. ... show more
