Wow, what a disappointing printer this turned out to be. For as much as the hype around it seemed to portray, I expected it to be something special. But I should have known that all those YouTube influencers were just being paid to make glowing reviews. While this printer is fast, that's about all the good you can say about it. It's huge, heavy, extremely loud, and the end result is your prints look like garbage compared to most others including other FLSUN printers.

DO NOT BUY! The hot ends fail miserably and the Customer Service is below HORRIBLE! They would not send me warranty parts and took over 3 weeks to finally get someone to respond to me, and when they did, they kept beating around the bush making excuses as to why they were taking so long.

The media could not be loaded. [update 1/25/2025] ~ FLSUN reached out and offered to replace the entire effector. Definitely a great customer experience and will update if it’s held up to and if I do receive the part. [Update 1/23/2025] ~ Following a catastrophic print failure using PET17-CF filament, model failed part way but printer continued entire (2.5hr) model. This allowed the build up of nylon filament up the entire hot end past "upper" silicone sleeve which covers the ceramic heater. Unfortunately we didn't ask enough questions prior to purchasing such as if spare parts were immediately available and in this case of course they're not.. FLSUN direct storefront is listing EVERY MAJOR component [Out of Stock] which basically leaves this printer now sitting and not operable which means we're not making money. Given FLSUN stating the safely AI features are "in-testing" this shows its more so very very basic and more than likely will NOT stop a print failure. We're currently awaiting to hear back from FLSUN but due to the chinese new year I'm assuming were going to be sitting and this might cause us to return the product that they've failed to support a business use scenario. Very bad for business and currently removed our recommendation due to lack of available spare parts and serviceability First off were a business specializing in FDM manufacturing here in Washington State. We purchased the S1 Pro (2024) directly from FLSUN's website. Our views and opinions are strictly ours and were not endorsed or sponsored by FLSUN. Straight to the chase - The S1 PRO is a BEAST! weighing in @ over 80lbs and about 4FT TALL! The frame is engineered so rigid the motion from the kinematics are near indistinguishable. Find a nice stout bench/shelf/platform for this and you'll have zero troubles. Out the Box - As with a majority if not all consumer printers shipping out overseas to the USA, this is to be expected. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND cleaning (de-greasing) - Re-lubricating ALL linear rails & bearing! These machines come a long way and the time from manufacturer to customer is unknown. Create yourself the best foundation towards operating success and take the prep time to eliminate potential issues from the beginning! Ensure all cable connections are secure (remove the top cover) - Check all limit switch boards & servo motor connections - these encounter a bumpy ride and even with silicone glue things can shift during transport. Results - We've encountered ZERO issues so far in terms of print quality, calibrations and performance. Now we've discovered minor troubles along other terms such as [Motor Noise] - [Features] We've reached out directly to FLSUN's support team and have had great feedback in a timely manner (1 Business Day). These newer steppers are highly sophisticated versus the average (Ender 3v2) steppers. So more power and features come with other variables. FLSUN has noted motor noise will be solved in upcoming OTA updates. In aspects of "timelapses" - as of now you'll only be able to activate and record directly @ the S1 Pro's screen/Machine Control. This also means when sending a sliced model via "Orca, FLSUN Slicer, etc" you'll have to [Upload] the file and select the option to [Record Timelapse] @ machine . If you [Upload & Print] via slicer, you WILL NOT be able to record a timelapse - this has also been brought to FLSUN's attention and we've been told it'll be a revised feature in the near future. Overall - This printer isn't for a new user to the world of printing. Delta systems are vastly different than CoreXY or Bedslingers and will require a more intricate outlook on maintenance and parameter settings. This printer will get the job done when utilizing engineering grade filaments, lacking a heated chamber isn't an issue due to the great isolation within the chamber and the 120c high temp hotbed. Active filament drying ensures best results when printing hi-temp materials as well. If you print ABS, ASA, PPS, PPA and anything Nylon on the regular - this printer is for you! 5/5 Stars and we'll regularly update as we progress along with using this printer. Keep it up FLSUN, this is the future especially if a "AMS" or "MMU" becomes a feature later on
