This hose looks and feels very sturdy. It doesn’t pinch easily and seems to stand up nicely to being outside all the time. To me the best feature is the VERY hardy ends of the hose. They screw on easily to my house and attachments and are built like a tank. Recommended!

    • You'll never buy a vinyl hose again

I knew that rubber hoses are superior as you always see them used in the garden centers and by professionals but they typically use the heavy red rubber hoses. The problem with even the best vinyl hoses is when they do kink, and all hoses can kink, they have a memory of the kink and that spot will continue to kink and weaken. As far as I can tell this hose even when it does kink has absolutely no memory and thus remains like new. After several years of using mine and storing on a hose reel it still looks like new. I tried the highest rated vinyl hose (which apparently is no longer made) and it was a good hose for vinyl but did not hold a candle to this one. I hope they don't stop making it. Like another reviewer I just received my second hose and its different than the first one ordered 2 years ago. The surface is shiny and thinner compared to the old one. I don't believe this second hose is rubber, it sure looks and feels like a typical vinyl hose. All I can say is what a shame. The couplings are top notch - O ring, spring strain relief but what a waste if the hose only lasts a few years. Update 7/2023 - The vinyl hose burst after only 1 year. Its not any better than a typical hose you get at the home center. This is not a rubber hose despite what the description says. This hose is terrible. I bought it because it had great reviews that included "does not kink." This hose kinks every time I try to roll it up. Not just one kink, many. Wish I could return it without having to deal with boxing it. Ugh. Be warned.

great hose for the money. seems well made-durable. been using it since it almost nonstop since delivery, and am very pleased. it is lightweight for a 100 ft hose made so solidly, but with that, it is also very stiff. will fight during unrolling or rolling back up...but, it's a hose-lol end fittings perfect and easy to turn (tighten/loosen), and hasnt leaked once from spigot connection or spray attachment i connected. ... show more

This is high quality. Most hoses I've owned tend to kink and eventually cause a small hole to develop. This hose doesn't kink ( so far). Been using this for nearly a year.

We actually bought another one of these hoses because we liked the first one so much. My husband was so frustrated with the pvc/vinyl hoses that are difficult to wind up, constantly crink, and seem to wrestle with us every time we're out doing work in our large yard. This rubber hose is durable. The hardware is excellent. The 100 ft hose is the same price as the 50 ft hose, so that in itself made the 100 ft hose and excellent deal. Additionally, we searched all over to find a 100 ft regular rubber garden hose which was more difficult than expected. Once we found some, we looked at the product specifications and this hose was not only cheaper, but better made than the others. ... show more

After planning and planting a steep hillside of bushes and flowers I had to find an easy way to water this large area (for which planning and planting are still unfinished--and as I am out of town for the summer it must be all set up so that this is easy-peasy, even for a pet sitter to do while feeding the feline).
