    • What to know about “lifetime warranty” and a few other things.
Very cool hose, if the manufacturer figures out how to build it to last more than a few months. It’s lightweight, easy to store, fits nicely in a small bucket or basket when not in use, expands and contracts easily. The exterior is made of a woven nylon-like material that easily snags on the concrete walk or driveway, be sure the hose lies on the lawn during expansion and contraction as the material is not very abrasion resistant. I installed quick connect fittings to the hose to make draining and storage easier. I bought it in June, followed all use and care instructions, drained and put it in the basement in the beginning of October, 4 months of use. Took it out and began using it middle of May, it began leaking 2 weeks later; 4 1/2 months of use before it gave up the ghost. It leaked the same place any others have mentioned, about 6 to 10 inches from the spigot. I filed a lifetime warranty claim via the Flexi-Hose website, in response their email said they need a pdf version of my Amazon invoice, an invoice copy from Amazon was not sufficient. They sold me the hose, why don’t they have the invoice information in their files? After jumping through hoops to obtain the required file form, I sent it as requested, no response, after 2 weeks I resent the file, no response, after another week I called the customer service line. In one phone call I had to supply the same name and address information and date and place of purchase several times. When they finally acknowledged receipt of the pdf file they agreed to send a replacement in 3 to 6 weeks, in 6 weeks summer will be almost over. If I go to Amazon and pay for a new one it can be here in a few days. They already have my money so they’re in no hurry to honor the warranty. It seems to me the lack of timely response, the requiring of only one certain form of proof of purchase, the necessity of phone contact in order to get a response once required form was supplied, the repeated requests in one phone call for the same information and the fact that warranty information is not available on the product page on Amazon are all designed to frustrate as many warranty claims as possible, thereby keeping replacement cost to the supplier on a product they know is going to fail, to a minimum making the “lifetime warranty” affordable. Bottom line, product is a great idea, keep working to extend the longevity. Service after the sale STINKS. Seller should in good faith post all warranty information including specific requirements for filing a claim on the product page on Amazon and make the warranty claim process smooth and responsive, not cumbersome and frustrating. UPDATE 6/23/2023 Now I understand why the hoops to jump through as described above, I received my replacement hose today. A Silver Bullet Pocket Hose with aluminum fittings worth $49 as opposed to the brass fitting Flexi Hose I paid $80 for. Both these hoses are listed for sale on Amazon today, although the Flexi Hose is now $85. When you file a warranty claim via Flexi Hose website you’re dealing with Bulbhead who told me the hose I bought is no longer available and the $49 dollar hose is just as good, They refused to refund my money or send me the item I paid for. This is certainly not a reputable outfit but a scheme to bilk unsuspecting customers. In the end customer service at Amazon provided a full refund because the only compensation offered by Flexi Hose was a cheaper replacement. Unfortunately there is no way to report this situation to Amazon (I asked) so they’ll continue to sell for this scam outfit. My next stop is law enforcement. ... show more

After years of wrestling a long plastic hose to water my 5 garden plots and potted outdoor plants, I ordered this retractable hose. Not only is it lightweight, but it doesn’t tangle so I don’t have to battle with it to get my watering done. Now I can’t believe I waited so long to order this one. Works great and then recoils when finished when I leave the handle on to drain all the water out of it. Other favorite feature is that on the included hose handle, the Shower setting is right next to the Jet setting and those are really the only two I use. On other handles, they are clicks apart. Only slight thing is that the water pressure isn’t as strong as with my plastic hose, I assume due to the material of the hose. I can live with that, for sure. I’m ready to buy another one for my backyard! Forgot to mention that it DOES NOT KINK the way a plastic hose does. 👏🏻 ... show more

Just received the hose. Looks like good quality. In first use, it's clearly does not extend to 75 feet. I would say its extends to about 50 feet maximum. Maybe it will get longer as we use it, but that's unknown. I needed a hose that would cover 50 feet, so I decided to go for the 75 ft and glad I did. ... show more
