I bought this beater for my Kitchenaid K45 mixer to replace the original paddle which had begun to chip, and it fits well and works well. I have used it several times now for cake batter and frosting, and it makes a huge difference in how quickly everything comes together. The one issue I had was when you start the mixer, this beater can cause liquid ingredients to splash if you add too much liquid at once. I bought this for my brand new 5qt kitchen aid for my holiday baking a few months ago. It was a game changer in the ability to scrape the sides of the bowl. Had to shave a small amount off of one side to get it to not hit so hard. works fine now. Was not mis-shaped May have been that my mixer is 13 years old and is in constant use. May have a dent somewhere. Noticed the other better I had only had the flex on one side so I trimmed it slightly on one side and it worked fine. ... show more
