It does a good job mixing all of the ingredients without leaving unmixed ingredients on the sides of the bowl. It fits the KitchenAid with no issues. I bought this beater as a replacement for my old one that finally wore out and it is great. I like the silicone "flap" on the sides because it scrapes the side of the bowl. The price was competitive, too and it fits my Kitchenaid mixer perfectly.

Note the pic - the mixer peg doesn't go any lower than that, and check out the unfinished dregs blocking the sliding. Another bit of trash for the ecosystem. I am certainly not the only one receiving one like this.
