Getting this kitchen aid has helped me so much for the holidays. I've been able to make dozens of cookies, and it is dishwasher safe! I have the KitchenAid I bought years ago, but came to Amazon to get some more tools for it since I bake so often. It works great for the attachment and also was a good price considering how often I just my KitchenAid. It makes it so much easier to have 2 of these and have one in the wash and then be able to use one for all of my baking needs. While this beater technically “fits” the Kitchenaid mixers specified, it is too short in length to actually mix items in the bowl! See my photos comparing the beater that comes with the mixer, up next to this style being sold. You can clearly see the difference in length. It does not reach the bottom portion of the mixing bowl. Ugh.

Definitely work the buy if your big on baking. Works great with scraping the sides. Make sure you scrap up the bottom, but overall this is a win in my book.
