It is easy enough to use and provides the perfect amount of heat behind the fire pit to keep us completely warm. We haven't used the unit a ton but really like the warmth it puts out when we sit on the deck during a cool Fall evening. Installation was pretty quick and straightforward. I do wish they used something other than wingnuts for the reflector as I have to be careful putting the cover we bought on or taking it off - it tends to get hung up. The anchors are nice if you need them but I will likely remove them at some point - they make moving the unit around slightly awkward on the wood deck. My wife loves the amount of heat it puts out and that she can feel it from several feet away. Our deck is a modest 12x12 and we have it placed in the center when in use. You feel warmth in all directions. To get more heat I would add a second unit but this is pretty sufficient on it's own. The unit never worked. The assembly was fairly straight forward except that the instructions were not accurately collated and stapled. I documented that the gas was going through the hose but neither the pilot light or the burner unit ever flamed. I called the Flash Furniture customer service number provided in the instructions and the man that answered seemed surprised that they even made the patio heater. I decided that returning the unit was my best option only to find out that Dinazah LLC@Amazon does not provide return shipping and charges a 20% restocking fee. It'll probably be sent out to the next buyer without any repairs and they'll keep making money on the re-stocking fee. ... show more

This has been so amazing for using out on the back deck so far this fall. The weather went from warm to cold fast this year, and I wanted to finally enjoy some time outside in the evenings. The cooler weather finally gave us a break from the bugs, so I've been brining my laptop outside and setting up on the patio furniture to work out there, but after so long I get too chilled. This is such a lovely item to have on hand, especially if you like to entertain. We have this on our patio, but in the fall will move it to our pool deck as we set up a movie projector and watch movies in the yard. This will definitely aid in keeping us warm on cold nights. It was fairly easy to assemble. Instructions were clear and easy to read/understand. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble by myself, while being distracted watching TV. It’s much larger than I expected and it’s fantastic quality. The black really looks sharp. It’s easy to move around thank goodness bc of the wheels that are attached to the base.
