Love this vacuum! At first, I was worried that it would have difficulty staying upright, as the older Dyson rollers I've used have issues locking (and staying!) in upright position. I was very pleased to find that is not an issue for this vacuum! It came with different attachments, which are all useful, and vacuums extremely well. The beater bar did not work sent me a replacement didn’t work either. They told me to take it to a Dyson vacuum specialist. I said no and returned it.

Does a good job but takes getting used to. The stretch tube to extend the reach of the ceiling and non-floor places is awkward and clunky. The plastic seems thin where it should be stronger. Hard to tell when the brush should be on or off. Can't do too many stairs steps without the vacuum falling over. It is light and easy to empty, however if one plastic piece gets cracked or broken, it could render the collection bin defective. ... show more

    • Dyson.....when you purchase a vacuum cleaner, only buy the BEST! You get what you pay for!
This is my 2nd Dyson in 25 years of steady use. This one did darned good in reliability and vacuuming, and I was totally satisfied with it, but I wanted to purchase a new one.....another Dyson, of course! Back when I purchased my first Dyson, a popular magazine did a thorough test of 8 different brands of vacuum cleaners. They were made to vacuum everything from cat hair to dust bunnies and heavy dirt and mud. The winner of these 8 brands?.....DYSON! That convinced me to buy that brand and I couldn't be more satisfied and happier with it. Oh, an interesting footnote they had at the end of their test which they added at the end of the article said: "And after all the brands were tested, they used the Dyson to clean up the mess the other 7 brands left behind!" No one can argue with who's the best with that statement of fact. ... show more

This is a vacuum I got for my elderly parents to use on their rugs and wood floor/tile. We had no trouble setting it up and testing it out in their living room immediately. We actually do love it, the ease of movement, functionality, disposing of dust from bin is a snap. The color is a pretty fuschia and definitely worth every cent.
