This is a great tool. I was using a little hatchet prior to make kindling and it was dangerous. This tool makes kindle with a mini sledge much safer and easier. Solid tool, very sharp. Should hold up for years to come

Been splitting fire wood many years with an axe Thought this would be easier and safer. However swinging a small sledge hammer is harder than swinging an axe and holding the wood while pounding on it with a small sledge is not completely safe. One miss swing and you can smash your bones.

Needed something to get some kindling for starting a fire. Use a 3lb sledge with this and it works great. Sharp and the wood doesn’t get stuck. It’s super easy to use and will last for a long time. Great value.
