Manticore ,awesome detector, easy to use ,light and very accurate, even in the back yard trials. Don't think about it, just get it and remember it comes with headphones even if it's not stated on amazon. I did order the M8 coil and will use it at the beach next week. This manticore is the affordable master, amazing what new tech can do. I ordered a Plano rustrictor 36" hard case and put all my stuff inside, safe and secure, even my Dragon XT shovel fit in there, plus a belt bag, knife, gloves, pinpointer and 2 coils. I didn't need the big long minelab soft case, it doesn't offer much protection. If you like the hardcase idea, save some money, get the manticore without the soft bag but get the minelab 40 pinpointer. ... show more

Very impressed with the quality of the products so far. After doing some research I added the M9 coil to the detector to get a good all around detecting experience. I also modified the spot detector holster to support a lanyard so I don’t leave it behind as I’ve heard that is a common issue. See pic. ... show more

The easiest interface I have ever experienced. You can be Well on your way with this machine with a couple of times out and some help from YouTube witch there is plenty. The metal discrimination and depth is incredible.

You can buy a used car for this, seems like a bit much. There is intellectual property here too so perhaps that is why. However for people using this for a hobby it seems overpriced. Still, it is much easier for me to use than the 800. The visual placing of numbers helps me interpret them quickly so I know when to take a pass. ... show more
