I’ve never played a fire emblem game. I recently played through final fantasy tactics and have been looking for something to scratch that itch. Playing as a teacher and teaching your students and watching them progress is super fun and unique as well. If you play on classic mode when your allies die it’s permanent, you really feel the loss and care about the characters you’ve invested so much time in. I couldn’t stand to lose my units so I would reset the game and try again til I got it right. The class/progression system is so pleasing and unlocking new character classes and abilities through taking tests in the school is fun. The character and story are incredible too. This game makes me want to play earlier entries in the series, but I also worry they may fall short because of how good three houses is.

I had never played a Fire Emblem game before and decided to purchase this on a whim because of the graphics and I've practically sold my soul to this game now! There is so much replayability with four different story routes and so many lovable characters! I am currently on my third playthrough, and have 160 hours put into this game. Needless to say one playthrough took me 70 hours so make sure you are ready to invest a lot of time and tears for these characters and this story. Every playthrough gives you more information about the world, your characters origins, the other characters and their interactions and very different routes once you hit the post timeskip. PSA though make sure to grab the ring in the first or second month after you are told about it, otherwise you will end up alone and cant marry your fav character (RIP my golden deer quest for Claude) This is a strategy based game so if that is your forte i think you will absolutely love this game! EVERYONE SHOULD PLAY THIS GAME PLS I WANNA FANGIRL WITH OTHER PEEPS

Great game but a decent Fire Emblem Most of the cast is lackluster compare to other FE ones and they do not feel like FE characters The some of the character's stats are either broken or dog*** which is normal on FE but it was something I had hope they were going to fix on this one and they did not And without going into spoilers that's pretty much it

1) If you played final fantasy tactics at any point of your life, stop reading get it! you will love this 100% If not keep reading 3 houses, factions, groups of characters that are memorable, funny and diverse. You pick one faction to lead for the whole game. There is new game plus so you can play it two more times to get to play the other houses. Each house is unique in what class of characters it represents. (I.E Knights on horesback, archers, mages etc) Your characters can promote to new classes to take on new roles for your team. 3 Houses is a strategy game that takes the time to teach you how to play. All dialog is both in text and spoken out loud. Other games this is like besides final fantasy tactics include vandal hearts, disgaea, fellblade just to name a few. final tip, if you get this, play it on casual difficulty first time through, reason is if your characters die in battle on normal, they are deal forever!! If they fall in battle on casual, they will come back after the battle.
