    • You will need bolts to mount your seat
Works fine when you provide the proper length bolts to mount it. No huge deal unless you are in a hurry to mount your seat and hit the water. The factory bolts you get with your seat are not long enough with this added between the seat and mount base. I also added fkat washers and star lock washers rather than loctite ... show more

    • This is not an adapter! Its a reinforcement plate.
You do not need this to install your seat. However, they must have had trouble with the seat cracking around the mount. All this is is a reinforcement plate for the seat. Its probably a good idea making the base stronger. It is "not" an adapter. This should come with the seat as much as they charged for it. It is an excellent seat. I think they just got greedy selling this separate to us. I would give it a higher rating if it had come with the seat. I imagine it cost about $3.00 to make! ... show more

I hesitated to order this product after reading some of the reviews but thought I could re-engineer any flaws I would encounter. Truth is there were no flaws. This mounting plate bolted up to my Tempress seat perfectly. I highly recommend this product.
