I'm going to be honest. I have used Lodge for YEARS and sworn by the brand. But they really don't have a non stick surface. I have to use a lot of oil to keep things from sticking. So I really didn't believe cast iron could be non stick. I came into this very skeptically and thought I'm going to try this pan and I'm probably going to return it, but I've changed my mind. I've been using the crap out of this pan and I love it. I've made eggs and bacon. I even made some pasta Bolognese and now I've made cinnamon rolls in this pan. The non stick factor already surpasses my old Lodge. My cinnamon rolls slid out beautifully with no sticking (I used just a bit of butter to grease the pan) and they are so light and fluffy. The pan really is so much lighter weight than my old Lodge. This is a keeper. I reached out to customer service twice with questions and they respond FAST with thorough, detailed information. Very helpful. I've ordered a second smaller pan to complement. I really think if you give this pan a chance you will be happy you did. Follow their instructions on cleaning and seasoning, etc.

The media could not be loaded. People think that cast iron pans have to look perfect like out of the box and complain about stains or uneven coating. Then go cook on teflon and other chemical infused cookware! I did the initial coating with avocado oil in the oven and I don't have a stick problem. Heat distribution is great and its lighter than other cast iron pans. Very pleased with the purchase, I used it every day

Wayyy more expensive than my other lodge pans… But it is a beautifully made and finished pan. Very smooth inside. Simple wash and I was off to cooking!

The media could not be loaded. I get this skillet few weeks ago and I really like it. I use it almost every day. Here is what I think: advantages: very light for cast iron, so easy to handle. smooth surface, food dont stick much. pre-seasoned, so I dont have to do it myself. made in USA, good quality feel. disadvantages: little expensive compared to other skillets. the handle get very hot, need a glove to touch. need regular seasoning to keep nonstick. Overall, I think this skillet is very good for cooking. It's lighter and smoother than other cast iron pans I have use before. I use it on my gas stove and even on grill outside. It make cooking more fun and the food taste great. My mom also like it, she use it when she visit. If you dont mind the price, it's a good choice.

Even though this is pre-seasoned. There are still many steps you will need to follow in order to prolong the life and quality of your cast iron. The caring instructions are crucial for your cast iron to be the best it can be. I highly recommend you stick the instructions to a fridge. Or if in case you lost it, I've upload a picture here so you can see. This cast iron is the perfect size for starters, it is not too large and not too heavy. It is also not too small, and you can easily cook a dish for small family. There are many recipes that works well with cast irons, specifically meat and stir fry dishes. On top of that, you can basically cook anything with cast irons. However, I would avoid keeping liquids like soup in it overnight as it might deteriorate the surface. If you ever burn or damage your cast iron, it is still savable unlike the other material pans. I would check online for some repair tutorials.

Let me start by saying this cast iron pan is definitely on the expensive side, but it is much lighter weight than the pans I'm used to. It feels very high quality and the entire pan is level and smooth. I have a glass cooktop, so it's essential that pans be perfectly level. It comes preseasoned, but also has instructions for how to keep it well seasoned. The pan cleans well and heats evenly. Overall, very impressed, but took off a star for the expensive pricing.

The media could not be loaded. I've been wanting a cast iron skillet for years, but for some reason, I never bought one. When I saw this, I ordered it right away. After ordering it, I researched a little bit about cast iron pans and I was surprised to see that the one I picked was from one of the best cast iron skillet companies out there and I was even more excited to get it. This skillet comes perfectly protected and you get instructions on how to properly care for it. This is a learning process for me and I really appreciate the instructions! After following the instructions I used it for the first time to make some refried beans and the results were excellent. Unlike with my usual stainless steel skillet, I didn't have food sticking problems (see attached video). The heat holds excellently and I found that the distribution was even. When I have the time to bake a cake using this, I will upload the pictures and update the review. I have nothing bad to say about this product. If you get it and you take proper care of it, you won't need a replacement ever again.

This is a exceptionally nice cast iron skillet. The weight and balance are really good for me to handle, and I love the pre-seasoned finish. Heat distribution is great. Because the base of the skillet is not smooth, this isn't something I can use on our glasstop range, but it is absolutely perfect for camping, both for cooking on the gas range in our camper, and for cooking over an open fire on a grill. We're extremely happy to have it. It gives every impression of being a kitchen tool which could outlast us. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.
