The heater looks good and is easy to assemble it took me longer to remove the blue flim that covers the dome then it took to put the lamp together...so after all that I connected a tank and fired her up đź‘Ť can't give a review on how well it works... why? It's August and 90 degrees So I'll circle back in October and give an update I normally leave picks but we bought a cover for our heater and it's a bit of a pain to put on and take off ... show more

The only reason I got this is because I was able to use a bunch of Amazon credit card points for a deep discount on the price. But after having used this thing for 2 years I would pay full price for a second one. We have a 20’x8’ open porch and we use this puppy almost every night. Living in the mountains on the mid-Atlantic where our winters can get pretty dang cold this thing has really made our winters far more sociable. Everyone usually shuts down during the season but now we always have hangouts on our porch because even in 30 degree weather it keeps even our open porch comfortable. You notice a huge difference when you walk away from it. If we had some type of enclosure for the porch that would be perfect. We’d never leave the outdoors! The only downside is this thing gets so red hot it’s begun to melt the steel mesh that encloses the flame. I’m not concerned about the functionality, and I could easily get more steel and make my own new enclosure, but if you’re not handy with metal bending prepare to need to replace it in maybe 3-4 years as the metal becomes quite brittle after it’s cooled down. Otherwise, this is a great product that performs quite well. Ideally we’d get a larger propane tank and “permanently” connect to that, because doing $20 tank swaps gets expensive. It takes 15lb tanks and I’d say a tank on full blast will last, eh, 15 hours? A pound an hour? Good bang for the buck. ... show more

I’ll start by saying this is my first propane heater. Spin arrival it was packed nicely with no damaged pieces. It took me roughly an hour to put together. The instructions made enough sense until you got to the top part. It comes in 4 sections and I had to mess with it a bit to get them lined up correctly. I was close to making this a 5 star review but I was disappointed that the unit doesn’t have a built in weight, such as a sand filler to weigh it down. It gives you anchors to attach to the patio. I decided I didn’t want to drill into my patio concrete since I like to move it around. The heater does come with wheels so I purchased a sand bag and a waterproof bag to put sandbag in. I placed the sandbag on top of the wheels and haven’t had any issues with it being blown over. We had strong winds and it wasn’t budging. As for the heater in use, I couldn’t be happier! It heats our whole patio up and we get a lot of complements on it. Our friends are shocked when we tell them how much we paid for it. Also after searching other models this was one of the few that didn’t have an issue with the heat screen warping/melting. The instructions were a little rough. I was able to figure it out looking at the pictures on Amazon. Fired right up. Works great! This is what my wife wanted for Mother's Day and she was super happy. What more could you ask for? We've used it twice now. I even went back and purchased a cover for it.

First, let me just say Amazon's order processing and fulfillment were outstanding as they have always been for us. We got the outdoor heater in time when we needed it. Unfortunately, the product itself has major safety flaws that are very important to me. I'm not sure what other's got but the regulator connection that came with this was a straight line connection (as opposed to "L" type) which made it almost impossible to fit within the metal casing once connected to the gas tank without kinking the hose which is very dangerous. I had to let the hose stick out in one of the large holes of the case just to make sure I don't kink it. It's interesting because the picture in their manual was showing the "L" type connector so I was really disappointed with this. Secondly, the base of this heater does not have the "sandbox" or "water box" that allows for added weight for stability, instead it comes with brackets that need to be anchored to the floor to prevent it from tipping over. I understand the gas tank is heavy enough to hold this thing down but you have to remember the tank will become light as it loses its contents. There will also be times when I need to move my gas tank between this and my outdoor grill specially during summer when I don't need the heater. A good amount of wind will definitely tip this thing over if it's not anchored to the ground which I could not anchor in my case without major work because my patio floor is concrete. As far as the burner, the ignition and the amount of heat it produces, I didn't have any problems with those, but for those 2 safety issues I mentioned I am returning this product for a refund. I've just now seen other products that addresses those major concerns. Hope this helps for both consumers and the manufacturer. ... show more

We got the heater before we needed it so it didn't get opened or assembled until we were ready to put it to use (approx 4 weeks after it arrived) the box was undisturbed and undamaged during this time. Once assembled and connected to a tank, the heater worked great for the first 2 evenings that I used it but the 3rd time it acted like it was running out of propane. I checked the tank and it has plenty of fuel. The flame will not get any better than a very low setting even on high. I have checked the tank valve to make sure it is open plenty and went step by step through the instructions on the heater just to make sure I am not the error. I really am disappointed that it is not still preforming as it did the first few times. ... show more

I am sitting under it right now and it is giving off reasonable heat...hard to tell how much heat because it is a mild night (39 F), but it is at least adequate. But, I write this review to share some important information. I got it put together - - all by myself - - in 90 minutes give or take. To put this in perspective, I have a hard time tying my shoes. Ok, an exaggeration, but I am not handy at all. I almost did not order it because I figured it would take me a week to get to done, but I am glad I did. It is not the most solid thing, but it came with brackets to secure it, if you want to use them. I did not use those because it sits in a secure place and it seems fine. This was as surprise. The quality was as good as the reviews stated. The assembly was easy enough. I bought 2 of these and one seems to leak a bit. I will be taking it apart to insure the fitting between the burner and line up from the tank is tight enough. The second one does not seem to leak. In general, I am pleased with the overall fit and finish of the heater. The reflector fit together very well. The only down side I can see is the heater is light enough that if the tank is not full, a good wind would blow the heater over. ... show more

So I assembled this by myself without any difficulties. Pulling the protective film off the deflectors probably took the most time, but they were unscratched. I am using it against recommendations as a heater in my 2-car garage. There is no ceiling & the roof is pitched so I have at least 5 feet of clearance above. I have it in the middle of an empty bay so plenty of clearance around it. I couldn't find anything cost effective to take the chill out of the garage while I worked on projects and this will do it. Plus when the weather gets better, I can wheel it outside to heat up a garden party. It ran about 20 hours on a full 20 lb propane tank at the highest setting. I keep the garage door cracked about a foot for ventilation. ... show more

This heater is quite tall, but I suppose that’s relatively standard. It is easy to get started and produces adequate heat to use on a small-medium deck (outside). I have not had any issues with stability in high-winds, even with an empty tank. Flame has blown out a few times in light wind. It’s not too heavy, and can be rolled easily- but actually picking up and moving far away would be a burden. My one wish is that the heater was a bit more Portable: for example, I’d like to bring it to a friend’s for a party, but I just don’t think it could be partially disassembled to be transported without a headache. Can’t beat the price though. ... show more
