I've always used a Farberware percolator coffee pot so when I began to throw out nonstick cookware and cookware that can shed microscopic particles into food, I thought of Farberware. I bought 2 saucepans and a soup pot style for boiling pasta or making soup and chili. First of all, all the pieces have heft to them, which surprised me. The lids are a perfect fit. I have a gas stove and the cookware kits up well with even heat distribution., The stainless steel cleans easily. I think the nonstick manufacturers brainwashed us into thinking that only nonstick cookware cleaned up well. That is not true, as the Farberware pieces are easy to clean and just shine aferwards. I needed to replace my 3 quart Farberware pot since I ruined my original pot. And since I already had a 1 quart pot, I decided to buy the 2 quart pot as well. And I found a 2 pot combo on Amazon (for the 2 quart and 3 quart). This makes a set!

A great product at an excellent price. These pans last a lifetime. Aluminum core bottom gives excellent heat conduction, the lids have a tight seal (I use mine as a rice cooker), and the finish is very attractive and so easy to clean. There's a popular idea that a more expensive pan will give a better cooking result but that's just advertising. You do the cooking, not the pans. ... show more

I had an entire set of Farberware cookware for years and loved it! But when I moved I decided to donate the set to a family in need, and even though I'm happy that they benefited from it, I definitely missed my Farberware pots and pans! So I've been slowly but surely replacing them as I find them on sale. If you'd like pots and pans without the non-stick coating that clean up easily and cook evenly, buy this kind!!
