I love this little saucepan. I cook a lot of Indian food and use this pan frequently to make and pour tadka/seasoning into my Dals and sambar. The tiny spout makes it easy to do this without creating a mess. In a pinch I've used it to cook rice and drop the starch, just hold the lid on and not use the spout end. I've used it to make single servings of upma or halwa during which the non stick comes in really handy. I haven't used metal utensils or put it in a dishwasher and it's as good as new, a year later. Good for making small amounts of foods, especially something like a cheese sauce. No sticking. No smell. A lid would be nice. Fortunately I had one that fit.

    • Should be replaced after a year - non-stick starts to pit and wear off
I've never used metal on this, it's just been for reheating soups, and I've always used a melamine spoon. Still, after a year, it's pitting, and needs to be replaced. I'm hoping for something better next purchase. Not this.
