I didn't know how long one would last but was very surprised to see that it lasted a while. While I like the Black & Decker grass trimmer, the charging system leaves a lot to desire. Others have commented on long it takes to get a full charge and that is what I also found. Even after a 3 hour charge, the battery was fully discharged after a relatively short period of time.
