I thought it was going to have the attachment that snaps on the front. I am not sure what it is called but the pictures and video had it shown in them. Product itself is fine, works as it should so far. Easy to use. I like that it came with a hard case and foam inserts to protect it.

At this price point, I don't believe you can find a better thermal imaging camera with as many features. The multiple display types and color palettes at your fingertips, allowing for easy switching on the fly, provide outstanding versatility. Could the picture be clearer, or the LED brighter? Of course, and it could cost twice as much. For this price, I am wholly impressed. Looking forward to using it more around the house and at work.

The thermal imager works quite well. Image resolution is detailed. The claimed sensor resolution is 256×192, with "super resolution" function which somehow doubles it. In any case, an impressively detailed thermal image. It is difficult to say about absolute temperature accuracy, since any IR measurement is a function of emissivity of the measured surface. Temperatures look about right. The camera has typical center temperature cursor, max temp and min temp moving cursors. And some user-defined temperature cursors I have not explored. One thing I miss on this camera is a temperature range lock. This camera operates in continuous temperature range auto-scale mode, where the palette spans the currently sensed min and max temperatures. There is a visible light camera, and an image fusion algorithm to overlay thermal and visible images. I've used such before with other thermal cameras. It can be a useful feature in special circumstances where the viewed scene is not obvious. It seems when IR photos are captured, correlated visible photos are also captured, useful in post-analysis. Save photo and save video work fine. Review of saved content is possible from the view screen. All saved content is available when plugged via USB into a PC. Content is saved on an included 32Gbyte micro SD card. The camera comes with a quick start guide. There is a detailed manual on the manufacturer's website, though some sections seem unfinished. The microphone is dysfunctional. It was bad in the first unit I received, and also in a second replacement unit. The mic is present. It captures the button clicks ok. But it misses your voice. If you yell in the mic hole, then turn your speaker volume to max during playback, there is your voice, faintly captured. Looks like a manufacturing defect, maybe someone forgot to peel off the microphone cover tape after circuit board assembly. This is unfortunate, because narrating a thermal capture video is extremely important for instance when doing energy conservation. Some software features seem partially implemented or buggy. It is possible to select isotherm mode, but seems impossible to change the isotherm temperature boundaries from their default values 130C, 20C. So feature is of not much use. I'm giving it 4 stars because the functionality is generally good, and the camera is a good value. Disappointed in lack of a functional microphone. I don't think Amazon will allow me to exchange the unit again, and haven't gotten a response from my tech service microphone question.

Works great, except I saw things I really didn’t want to see, and now, I have to do more work. Seems insulation has pulled back over the years on outside walls and a few places it has settled in the walls. Thus, I’m sure increasing heat/a/c costs.
