We have a Roomba that does a great job on our floors but with three dogs in the house I am still constantly sweeping. When we sweep the hair onto the dustpan and try to transfer it to the trash can, we can see hair flying back in to the house. We decided to give this vac a try. Let me just say it is well worth what we paid! Dirt, sand, dog hair, none of it escapes this vac. And it’s so easy to use. We keep it on auto and just run the broom a few times a day. We have seen a huge improvement in dust and dog hair. The kids even love helping now which is a huge plus! If you are debating this, I would just go ahead and order it. You won’t be disappointed!!

This item has worked so well. I keep it next to my functional fireplace/wood stove area to easily sweep up any ash or firewood chips that have spilled out to the floor. Also, with wood floors + pets + younger kids, as well as a farm yard setting, there is a constant supply of pet hair, sand/dirt, crumbs, etc. always on the floor. It is so much easier than dragging out the canister style vacuum on a daily basis, or missing those annoying lines from a dust pan that refuse to proceed beyond the edge of it. I could not use this appliance more, although my cat may have a different opinion. I originally kept it on the setting to be available at all times with motion reaction function, but after many 3 a.m. scenes of chaos from my cat meandering a little too close to it, I began to turn it off unless I was immediately using it (it is so sensitive that even a little bit of movement from random fluffballs that passed by it within a couple inches would get sucked up, so you can imagine the sudden reaction of unexpected suction even remotely close to the tail of a toe beaned companion... She would be leaving a zero star review due to assault, is all I can say lol! Also note, no, she was never harmed nor ingested by this stationary vacuum bot, just startled by the sound from her movement triggering the function to react to motion, so keep it somewhere away from your fur babies paths or keep it in the other mode, that's all!). But I absolutely recommend, it is so convenient and helpful!

I love this thing. It really helps prevent bending and stooping to sweep crumbs into the dustpan. Problem is, I have a small kitchen. So no matter which corner I tucked this into, it just got in the way. Which is a bummer, because it really worked to suck up all the crumbs I swept up. Bonus is that I was able to swipe the edge of my broom along the suction part, and it even cleaned off the cat hair and residual crumbs on the end of the broom. My broom has black bristles, and the vacuum sometimes did not activate. But I just waved my foot in front of the vac, and that worked just fine. If you have a bigger space than say, 8 x 10 feet, I would totally recommend you buy this vacuum. If not, I don’t think it would be worth it to find space for it. Regrettably, I will be returning it.

This thing is pretty neat. Bought it for my wife thinking it would be typical mid level chinesium. It's not bad. it plugs into the wall and sucks whatever you put in front of it into the catch can. Hair, dust, dirt. dogfood, things the kids left on the ground and it turns on as you sweep towards it.

this is the best thing i bought all year. no more dust pans. now it does go off on its own when the dog walks by and gets its tail close to the opening. but that is not often. has a very big dust pan. and the filter is easy to clean and replace.

I like this vacuum for the ease of not having to fight with a dust pan or leave traces behind. I did not realize the entire front wasn't a suction area, but instead you have to angle your debris in front of a tiny hole. This reminds me of if your had a traditional vacuum hose on the floor and you were sweeping stuff into its path but smaller.
