This vac has been a life saver. If you don't like chasing a dust pan around to get that last little bit of mess, well this is for you. I absolutely love it. Yes, it is loud when activated but what do except from a vacuum. I leave mine on auto and have accidentally walked in front of it and it startled me a couple of times but I will get use to it. I have dark bare floors that show up everything so I'm always sweeping. I tried using my swiffer with it but it tried to suck it up.
