Extra long and very sturdy. They come in segments that screw together so you get more of a customized length and it’s necessary for the strength. We have a large and tall window in our living room, and this rod easily supports our pleated heavy linen 100+ inch curtains.

This super long curtain rod has a an ingenious design and a reasonable price. However, the need for supports along the length means curtains cannot be moved to the far ends when you have this curtain rod installed in longer lengths. The telescoping end is also a bit problematic. I got this curtain rod to install blackout curtains across the back of our media room where there are two windows that let in a bit of light through the blinds during the day. Assembly is easy and the full length of the rod matches the specs in the product details. I am not a fan of the telescoping part though. It is loose and does not stay level with the rest of the rod when extended. It should have more tension with a plastic washer like a shower curtain rod to keep it stable and straight. For my installation I just pushed the telescoping part fully in so I didn't have to deal with it. The rest of the sections, when fully tightened hold strong and sturdy. If you do not tighten them well, the rod will sag. I used three supports to get across the 13 foot width of our room and added additional curtains on each side of the supports to fully cover the wall from side to side. This configuration worked well. However, if someone wants to use this in a longer configuration any curtains in the middle sections cannot be moved to the sides because of the need for the additional supports. The reason I reduced my rating one star is because of the telescoping section being so loose. Other than this one part, the product is really well made and the seams are almost invisible. I wish there was a way to not use the telescoping part, but you cannot fasten the finial on that end without the telescoping end. If they included an extra threaded tube like the opposite end to replace the telescoping end when installation does not require that feature, it would benefit those of us who do not need it. I can understand why this feature is included, but it is a bit of a problem and for any installation where a support would need to be connected to it, I think the rod would then become unstable especially when trying to move the curtains. Overall a great curtain rod at a reasonable price that can be used to span great distances but you need to pay attention to the potential issues or limitations.

Nice rods for big bank of windows. Easy to install, piece together and secure grommet drapes. Great value and really secure. Note that brackets are a closed circle, which we like, but some could see as difficult for hanging and removal. Our 15 ft run was easy to get installed with 5 brackets. Be sure to secure the set screws so rod doesn't move around.
