My next door neighbor is building a huge house with many windows looking right into my house. Since a wall with windows will to be my view, I’ve got this film to cover the windows and creat privacy; yet have light coming in. This product works great for that purpose. It sticks to the window without any glue; just some spray of water. I removed a star Because I struggled with removing the plastic cover from the film to place it on the window. It was extremely difficult to separate the plastic from the film. It actually requires a stick tape to tape it on the corner of the plastic and try separating it from the film. There was no explanation about that on the instructions. Besides, if there was a squidgy to remove the pockets of air and water from the window would have been tremendous help. I used a plastic ruler to do that. But if someone doesn't have a squidgy or a ruler, then it would be real hard to stick the film completely on the window Without leaving pockets of air behind.

First off I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews on this one! As far as being easy to use, it’s basically the same as putting window tint film on windows or putting a “wrap” on a car, keep that in mind.... BUT, anyone CAN do this with a little time and patience! Even me! Yes the protective film was a little difficult to peel off but my hands don’t work very well, compare it to contact paper in difficulty with that. I cleaned the windows twice with window cleaner then sprayed and wiped with alcohol. I cut my piece about 2 inches larger all the way around in case I messed up, which I did... I sprayed the window with ALOT of water, and started at the top of my window. I only peeled down the first 3 to 4 inches of protective film to start with. After using my OXO squeegee to smooth out that first area at the top, I slowly pulled the protective film down and smoothed with the squeegee until I got to the bottom. I then used a VERY SHARP POINTED razor blade to trim the overhang on all 4 sides making sure the frosted film DID NOT overlap the window trim AT ALL. I used a silicone dough scraper to smooth out the bubbles even more and I am so happy with the results! No mine does not look perfect but I’m sure that’s just because I’m just not good at this kind of stuff! That’s a user issue! The product itself is thick and of good quality! Adhesion is perfect! And very easy to install! It allows the light in but the naughty neighbors CANT LOOK IN! It also helps diffuse the light that was shining on the television! Unexpected bonus! I’m going to buy a second roll now for the bathroom windows! And NO, I was not paid or given any bonus for my review!
