2015 Cadillac SRX CD slot is just in front of the shift lever. I have a Carpuride 701 mounted as shown. The fit is perfect for this model and is mostly stable. The only wobble is where the mount slides in the CD slot. I like this position much better than the dash or windshield mounts.

I decided to take a chance on this as it was exactly what I was looking for and ratings on their other products were pretty good. I drive an Altima and the CD player is just below the top of the dashboard so this unit allows me to place the camera of my portable android auto unit just above the dashboard without obstructing the vents of car's screen for the backup camera. It really seems great after a couple of days. My only knock is that it does move a lot. It's stable but a lot of movement. Not bad, does the trick to hold my screen in my car from my CD slot - but it shakes a bit more than I would like when I drive.

It’s ok. It’s a great option if you can’t use one of the suction options, I have been through 4 suction holders that end up falling off if it gets too cold or too hot. This is a good choice, except it shakes a lot if you use it for a CarPlay. Might work better for a smaller device.

Not very stable if you have a large phone or tablet. I ended up getting a phone holder that fits in the cup holder but does not block the use of the cup holder.
