Seems pretty good

I decided to take a chance on this as it was exactly what I was looking for and ratings on their other products were pretty good. I drive an Altima and the CD player is just below the top of the dashboard so this unit allows me to place the camera of my portable android auto unit just above the dashboard without obstructing the vents of car's screen for the backup camera. It really seems great after a couple of days. My only knock is that it does move a lot. It's stable but a lot of movement. I guess that should probably have been expected and I do not fear it will fall out. ... show more

Works as described!!
Works as it should, wish it could fit little tighter or deeper into CD player, but it does what I need it to do

Not quite as stable as I would like.
Not bad, does the trick to hold my screen in my car from my CD slot - but it shakes a bit more than I would like when I drive.

Should have bought this sooner!
I have a 2004 Lexus RX, this item holds 9 inch screen perfectly, due to placement it does block the radio and AC buttons, but it easily rotates so you can still reach them and use them. It does not block the AC vents which is good. Before this I had the Apply Play screen on my dashboard and it was difficult to see around, so having the screen out of view makes it safer when driving. It was so easy to install, fits perfectly in the CD play slot and feels sturdy even when going over bumpy roads. So happy I bought this, should have done it sooner. ... show more

Doesn’t work for larger heavier phones
Returned it because it wouldn’t stay in the cd slot. The weight of my iPhone max pro was too much.

This Disc Mount Becomes a Floppy Disc Mount
Overall, this is a decent product however, the part that connects to the back of the screen that displays your CarPlay system, within a short period of time will become floppy and bounce around an awful lot. I have to keep mine secure with a piece of duct tape that I have to change every few days because of the summer heat melting the tape. It’s been inconvenient and it’s unsightly and it’s annoying, but I spent a good amount of money on this and I’m going to make it work however I can until I get tired of it enough to replace it. I don’t know if there’s products out there that are more sturdy because this is my second attempt and bought a different brand previously from TikTok that one was worse. However, Both have had the same results. I’m not gonna spend any more money trying to find a perfect one, duct tape works great. I could recommend a duct tape. I know good brand, but I didn’t buy it here so I won’t. ... show more

Holds up screen, but is very shaky during driving
Works OK but shakes a lot when driving. This isn't that big of a deal unless you want to review dashcam footage, and then its like pretty shaky and not that pleasant to look at. This would be easily fixed with more rigid materials and/or a support strut that would increase the overall rigidity of the entire structure. ... show more

Well made CD slot mount
Review Image by Hugh
2015 Cadillac SRX CD slot is just in front of the shift lever. I have a Carpuride 701 mounted as shown. The fit is perfect for this model and is mostly stable. The only wobble is where the mount slides in the CD slot. I like this position much better than the dash or windshield mounts.
