One of my nephews is autistic, and he really likes to sit in this bean bag probably due to the sensory feel of it. I can understand why because it has a nice squishy feel to it, and it has plenty of filling to support his weight. It holds up pretty well no matter whether he sits in it, leans in it, wiggles in it, or even tries to jump on it. It feels comfortable to him and sometimes I see him trying to read while laying on it. I think it's a perfect spot for him to retreat and recharge when he gets overwhelmed. Since this beanbag says it's good for teens and adults, I was really hoping that I'd be able to sink into it and squish it into a full seat with backrest. However, it's smaller than I anticipated, and I can only really perch on it, unlike the kid in the picture who is resting in it and leaning back. It makes for a good backrest if you want to lie against it with your butt on the floor, OR a good seat if you want to sit on it and then lean against something else. But it's not the kind of nest I had imagined it would be. For kids, though, it would be great. The beanbag is a nice, soft memory foam that squishes well without bottoming out. The cover is a soft corduroy fabric, and the handle on top makes it easy to carry around from room to room. I would just recommend it for ages 12 and under. ... show more
