These collapsible hoses are better used for light duty applications. Works fine for those applications. I wouldn't leave it out and pressurized for long periods of time.

    • I'd never thought to use metal hoses, but i like this one.
I'd never thought to use metal covered hoses, but i saw these and how people loved how lightweight they are as well as being flexible. I really like them! When they are empty they are super flexible and lightweight. Makes them really easy to work with around the garden. Even when under pressure they are a bit easier to maneuver around the garden and certainly easier to wrap up on my hose hanger. They are also basically un-kinkable! Every hose I've got has managed to kink at some point. Some are better than others, but the two of these stainless ones I have are just the best. Some hoses i got just last year are already showing signs of degradation from sunlight and weather. These stainless ones will hold up much better to the sun and weather in the long run. ... show more

UPDATED REVIEW (one star, 26 May 2024): Well, a bit over two weeks of very light work and the hose has bulged out at the connection. I don't know if this is a one-off defect or is indicative of normal production quality, but it is unacceptable. I WOULD STAY CLEAR! ORIGINAL REVIEW (three stars, 8 May 2024): I was having some issues with older, rubber hoses weakening (from sun, I presume) and more easily kinking. I saw this 25 ft Stainless steel Garden Hose, Metal Water Hoses, No Kink,Lightweight and Flexible, and thought it might be a good solution. Overall, it does well, but has what, to me, is an issue that is not obvious at first glance. First, the good. This hose is very lightweight and the stainless steel outer jacket both protects from abrasion or cuts, but also prevents kinks. Easy to move around and easy to coil. All good. The 3/4 inch couplings mate with my other garden hoses, hose bibs, and end sprayers. But, while hooking everything up, I noticed a problem. While the exterior dimensions look normal and the couplings are standard 3/4 inch, the hose itself is much smaller than the hoses I had on hand. I didn't have a tool to exactly measure, but the new hose diameter is clearing less than my existing hoses. The flow of water will be reduced and this will be a choke point regardless of whether it is placed at the end of a line of hoses or attached directly to the hose bib. Nothing I found in the description indicated the diameter of the actual "water tunnel" portion of the hose. For some, this issue may not be of concern, but all should be aware and make that decision for themselves. I've looked at my uses and have found one spot where reduced flow won't cause issues, so I upgraded the rate to a good, solid, middle-of-the-road buy. ... show more

    • Excellent Stainless Steel Hose
This exact same stainless steel hose is sold by many different vendors on Amazon and, as far as I can tell, for the same price. They are excellent hoses and I highly recommend them. Just do not confuse these with the cheaper versions that also include a cheap nozzle. Those are not good and often leak at either or both ends. If you look carefully at the supplied pictures from the sellers the material that protects the ends (apparently it's Latex and PVC) is like a sleeve that sits away from the hose and has cutouts. On the cheap hoses that leak it's a solid piece that fits directly against the hose. You can't tell it from the photos but on these high quality hoses the brass fittings are smooth and well milled. On the cheaper hoses even a cursory glance shows that they were cut on inferior equipment. To summarize, this is an excellent stainless steel hose, it will not leak and it will, as far as I can tell thus far, give you years of trouble free, tangle free, chew free service. ... show more
