Shipping (at least for Alaska) was fast! It was shipped in a box so the rod was safe during shipping. It also came in a nylon bag. The bag did come apart at the seam after one use, but nothing a needle and thread didn't take care of. I even made some durability improvements and now the bag carries both of my saltwater rods. I would give this a 5 star but the 4th piece (butt) and the 3rd mid rod did fit but it was SUPER tight! So I got some 800 grit and wet sanded the connection a tiny bit. Still a little tight but it fits better now. I use this for halibut fishing, I paired it with a 6000 series reel. I have taken it out on 2 trips but so far and this rod is tough. As I get more and more confidant with the rod, I have been casting farther. I added a trigger and with that addition, I am in the 115-125 yard range. I'm sure as I learn the rod better the cast range can improve a little bit. I have had some decent weight dragged in on this rod already. The rod is really light weight and very responsive, so I was able to feel the bites when they happened. Overall this is a great rod for the money and I am excited to really run this rod though the ringer this summer and hopefully longer.

I love the way the weight of the rod feels with my rockets. I got one as a gift and ended up loving it, and I got 2 more. The rod has held up its durability with my clumsiness and quick drops. I love the green and black look to them. Definitely getting your money's worth.

I bought this because of the good reviews and DUDE!!!!!! I do 95% of my fishing on the Southern California beaches and Jetty's. This thing is HUGE!! I bought the 15ft purely for comical reasons and I couldn't be happier!!! It doesn't weight but barely 2lbs and has a ton of flex to yeet my bait damn near into Mexico! By far the best $70 I have spent on a fishing pole to date. It's nice, looks to be well built and just feels good in the hand. Don't think about it and just buy it, you won't regret it.

I was a little worried about if this rod was the proper action for what I needed. I wanted something for 20-30 lb braid, and 2 to 4 ounce sinkers while surf fishing with bait. I already have a 12 foot rod that was claimed to be good for that weight but is way too light. This Rod was right on the money. I matched this with a 6000 series Sougayilang spinning reel, 30 lb 9 strands braid and use a 20 foot mono top shot. The rod has great casting ability. The high modulus graphite fiber puts incredible energy into the cast. Used at its max, it easily outcasts my other surf rods by at least 20%. The only downside is that the high distance casting can fling bait off the hook. If the bait is soft (like shelled shrimp), you need to be a little more gentle. I have only used it twice, so can’t speak to durability, but it looks very well made. And I put it to a pretty intense stress test with no issues

After a TON of research, I opted to go for this rod, despite the fact that it was below my budget. I just didn’t think a rod this inexpensive would handle so well. Paired it up with a 5000 Penn Pursuit III, 40lb spider wire braid with 50lb fluero leader and couldn’t be happier! I can’t believe this good of a rod is so inexpensive. It’s lightweight with a somewhat narrow diameter. So it doesn’t feel like your casting with a tree trunk. That slimmer diameter makes for a pretty sensitive rod. Yet, it still feels strong enough to land just about anything. I am able to fling 1/2 kastmasters a country mile and heavier lures even further. Down here along the Sea of Cortez, you can run into just about any fish possible from shore. Giant grouper, yellowtail, big snapper, Spanish mackerel…you name it, it’s probably here and ready to fight. Both the Crevalle Jack and Tunny I reeled in this morning were the perfect test to see how it would handle. It did not disappoint. Just buy it, you’ll be glad you did!

Broke in half on first cast. I know how to fish, correct line, lure weight within recommendation. Walked half a mile with it all set up with weights on line with no problem. Defective problem. And it's not easy finding a box this size to return. Just get the Big stix,
