    • Great beginning
I was attracted to this model because of the handle & the chair hook. It also looked much more sturdy than other brands. Received via UPS (1 week). Packaged extremely well. Two hour assembly for this elder citizen which was easy at first, but installing the pedal axles posed a problem. The pedal axles would not turn easily by hand, per instructions. I had to use lubricating oil and the wrench to screw the axle through the crank far enough to attach the nut on the other side. And completing that task took some muscle. I'm not sure the thread on the axle & the nut were completely compatible. I screwed, unscrewed & re-screwed the two pieces a few times before I was satisfied with the connection. With assembly completed, I tried it out & it works great. I will not be using the myCloudFitness Bluetooth app. I do wish it had a dial face that indicated the distance travelled by pedaling which could be reset at will. I'll be using this at home at my leisure not at my workplace under my desk. One task at a time is good enough for me. I'd hoped the Exerpeutic 900E Elliptical would work under my dining room table so I could workout then swivel my seat to watch TV, but my knees hit the lip (25" above the floor) under my table. Since my dining room chairs have casters like an office chair, I just moved the elliptical to the other side of the table and have it out in the open. I started slowly - 5 minutes, 3 time daily, closest seat position @ level 1 tension. I aim to strengthen my knees and increase my blood circulation to curtail the numbness, cramping & tingling in my legs & feet. I am in a hurry for relief. But I've learned that patience & persistence leads to success and haste often leads to injury. After a month, I've noticed a subtle improvement in my numbness & tingling and a great improvement with the nocturnal cramping. My ABS are getting a work-out too. I realize I can't erase years of sitting with hours of stationary pedaling. The Exerpeutic 900E provides a comfortable gateway exercise that will ease me safely into a more active lifestyle & better health. And, I hope, a lot less pain. This is a hefty machine. It is rather heavy, but the handle helps. There are less expensive devices, but I'm not sorry about the $200US, I paid, because of the design workmanship & quality of the materials. I probably would have chosen this in a brick & mortar store comparison of several similar products. I doubt I would have paid too much more. Two months after beginning, I have lost 5 pounds and 6 inches. That, in spite of not being faithful to my 3 times daily routine. Good luck & good health to you. I recently purchased this under desk elliptical machine and I am enjoying it. The things I like most is that the assembly instructions were easy to follow. Took me about 20 minutes to put it together. Also, when I downloaded the app, getting logged in for use was quick and easy. Tracking my progress while exercising is great. I especially like not having to have separate pieces of equipment that would have to attach to or plug into the machine to track exercise progress. All data easily sync to app without any cords or wires. Another thing I like about this equipment, is the all in one way I can just sit my chair into the holder to keep the chair from rolling back. Prior to purchasing this product, I had tried a different product from a different vendor and did not like the extremely long velcro that had to be attached from the chair to the equipment to keep the chair from rolling. I also tripped on several occasions, so that didn't work out. So I am really glad to have found this product. In regard to the make of the equipment, I like how sturdy it feels, even when moving it around. I am not worried about breaking anything. When using the machine, it is completely smooth and quiet. No rocking or tilting. Nice and balanced when peddling. I really appreciate the wide pedals versus the magnetic weight pedals some of the other machines use. Those are not comfortable and very clunky when trying to get your feet in to get started. When using the other vendor's product, I had to keep bending down to hold the pedal in order to put my feet in the holsters. So I really appreciate I do not have to do any of that with this product.
