    • Nice Double Boiler
I have had so many of these until I have lost count. I reheat a lot of leftover food in them as I don't have a microwave and don't want one. I have used this same size double boiler for a good couple decades. The different brands are basically the same. I don't wash the bottom part of the pot as that's where the water goes and boiling water turns it white as far as where I live. I just wash out the top part where the food has been reheated. I have three in use at the moment and many times have all three reheating food at the same time on my 5-burner gas stove. It takes about 20-25 minutes before the water boils out of the bottom pot so I set a kitchen timer and check back at the 20-25 minute point as not to burn the bottom pot. ... show more

Would have been 5-stars if they had not raised the price from$21 to ,$25.. The metal is thin, thin, thin. But as long as you have water in the bottom, it's pretty hard to burn water, and overheat, warp, or discolor this pan. Use it for what it was designed for - heating the contents of the upper pan with boiling water below, it does the job beautifully. Try using either as a saucepan, and burnt food is assured. Surprisingly, the cheap stainless used in making the pan apparently has no nickle, so it will work on an Induction Burner! A great product that does what it is supposed to. ... show more
