  • Easy Assembly - Great Heat .
Easy assembly and very easy set-up. Used this tonite for the first time and it kicked off some great heat despite the 37degree December temperature. Was perfect for sitting and chatting with some hot chocolate! I looked at several of these - this one hit my price-point and seemed less bulky when compared to others. It runs through pellets quite quickly though (I imagine they all do) - so make sure you have a nice stock. Would definitely recommend. Five stars for now ... hope it stays that way! ... show more

  • Throws almost no heat
Looks great, easy to assemble. Gives off very little heat, even on high. Nice for ambiance but if you’re more than 12” away from it, you cannot feel any heat. Disappointed because we wanted it mainly to start our patio season a bit earlier. But now we’ll use it for ambiance even on hot summer nights since it gives off so little warmth. ... show more

  • Built out of very cheap material.
Bought it to replace propane heaters, but now I can't find heating pellets for it. Cooking pellets are way to expensive cause it does use slot of pellets even on low setting. Built in China so it is very lite material. Not worth $600.00.

  • Porch pellet stove
Very nice looking and adds nice piece to our deck.

  • Very aesthetic but not a great heater
First of all I want to address where you can use it. I almost returned it after reading all the fire hazard warnings. It says not to put it on a wooden deck and do not put under a roof overhang. Well on the dang box there’s a 2’x3’ color picture of a couple using it on their deck. So go figure. It also says not to be within 36 “ of anything combustible. But in reality, you can’t feel any heat if you’re sitting 36” away. You really don’t feel much heat if you’re more than 18” away. I presume if you had it in an enclosed but ventilated room it would probably heat it some. But, of course, the warnings say don’t use indoors or under a roof. It also says to avoid cleaning it with “water-like” substances. Yet it’s advertised as a yard heater not under roof. I wonder if rain is a water-like substance. I realize all this sounds pretty negative. BUT, on the positive side, it’s a very attractive heater. It has glass windows on both sides and the front door. The fire inside on high setting is beautiful like watching a fireplace. I ignored the instruction warnings and put mine on my covered screened-in wooden deck porch. The thing stands 7 feet tall and my rafters and tin roof is 7.5’ high. After burning it on high for an hour, the rafters were slightly warm but not at all hot on a 48 degree night. I have a metal smoker 18” from the firebox and it was still cool to the touch. I plan to move the heater about a foot from two chairs and I think it will serve its purpose of taking off the chill plus giving off a pretty flame to watch. I’ll also note that it puts out no discernible smoke, although it does put out a fine particulate matter that settles on nearby objects. You start the pellets with charcoal lighter fluid and it takes about 5 minutes to get a roaring fire. On high setting it probably burns around 5 pounds of pellets per hour. They advertise that it’s cheaper to operate than propane. I figure that’s probably true, but not by much. If you mainly want a heater, go with a tank top two burner propane heater. But for aesthetics, this thing is nice. Assembly was easy with excellent instructions and packaging. PS: some reviews say it is cheap thin metal. It’s not a cast iron pot belly stove. But it does weigh 82 pounds, so it’s certainly not flimsy. ... show more

  • Buy somewhere other than here
Purchased at Tractor Supply on sale for $299 Looks nice and puts off a pretty decent amount heat if you use good quality pellets. Nice to set and relax by.

  • Love mine for less
I obtained this same model elsewhere. I Like how it fires up with long full fire display with decent heat output for it's size. Nice gravity flow pellet drop system that can be left open full or slowed down via a lever adjustment, or closed off in pellet storage cabinet. Over priced at $600 when available for half that price at Internet sources w initial H.D. or Tr. S. ... show more
