Which eufy video doorbells are compatible? Fully compatible with: Video Doorbell S4, S330, E340, C30, and C31. When used with HomeBase 2&3: Video Doorbell S220, C210, and Battery Doorbell 1080p. Incompatible: Video Doorbell 2K (Wired), 2K Pro (Wired),1080p (Wired) and S330(Wired). What version of the eufy app and HomeBase are required to use Chime 2? Android: 5.2.10_17014 or above. iOS: 5.2.10_16477001 or above. HomeBase S380: 3.7.1.6 or above. HomeBase 2: 3.3.9.6h or above. Can I use Chime 2 with devices connected to different networks? Only eufy Video Doorbell C30, C31, and E340 support connecting with Chime 2 on different networks. For all other models, the doorbell, chime and HomeBase must be on the same local Wi-Fi network to function properly. When does the Chime ring? Your Chime rings when the linked doorbell is pressed. I added the eufy Video Doorbell Chime 2 about six weeks ago because I was missing notifications when my phone was on silent or in another room. Pairing it with my eufy doorbell ended up being much easier than I expected. The Bluetooth auto-pairing worked almost immediately. I plugged it in, followed the prompts in the app, and had it connected within a few minutes. No complicated network setup or troubleshooting was required. What stands out most is the volume. Even at around 70% volume, I can hear it from the opposite side of the house. The maximum volume is more than enough for larger homes like mine, and I like that I can adjust it depending on the time of day. The sound quality is surprisingly good as well. The built-in chime options aren't just slight variations of the same tone—there's enough variety to find one that doesn't sound annoying after hearing it multiple times a day. I settled on one of the simpler tones and haven't felt the need to change it since. Another nice feature is support for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. My previous Ring chime sometimes struggled with connectivity, but this chime has stayed connected without any noticeable dropouts. I also love that it is smaller than the Ring chime. The only downside is that it's fairly basic once it's set up. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, but there aren't many advanced customization options beyond volume and chime selection. Also, it requires an available outlet, so placement depends on where you have power available. Luckily, I have a great spot in my hallway. Overall, this is a worthwhile addition if you already use an eufy video doorbell and want reliable indoor notifications. If you already have Eufy products -- we have several Eufy security cameras and a Eufy doorbell camera -- adding this doorbell chime is a snap. It was easy to add to the system and set up, and it makes a wide range of alert sounds if you want something other than a traditional doorbell chime. I like the traditional doorbell chime, so that's how I have it set. The Eufy Video Doorbell Chime is loud enough to be heard throughout my modestly sized house. If you have a 4,000 square-foot home, you may want a second (or third) chime, but one is enough for my 1,500 square-foot home. I have the chime located within a couple feet of the front door. This Eufy chime is small enough that I plugged it into an outlet (see photo) and there is still room to plug something else into the receptacle. Small, loud, easy to set up, inexpensive... FORMAL REFUND DISPUTE – DEFECTIVE ITEM PROPERLY RETURNED I am formally disputing the seller’s claim that the correct item was not returned. I purchased this item through Amazon for approximately $45. After receiving it, I installed and programmed it according to the instructions. Unfortunately, the item did not work as advertised. I had the item for only approximately five days before initiating a return. I returned the exact same item that was delivered to me. It was placed back in its original packaging with the proper labeling and returned through the designated Amazon return process at a Whole Foods location. I did not substitute, exchange, alter, or send back a different item. I strongly dispute the seller’s allegation that they did not receive the proper item. I followed Amazon’s return instructions and returned exactly what I received. It is extremely concerning that after returning a defective product through an authorized Amazon return location, I am now being denied my refund based on a claim that is simply not true. I respectfully request that Amazon review the complete return history, including the Whole Foods drop-off confirmation, return tracking, package information, and any available records associated with this return. I fulfilled my responsibility as the customer. The product was defective, it was returned properly, and I should not be financially responsible for an item that did not work. My eufy doorbell's wires got corroded and can no longer connect to my existing doorbell chime. This external chime works perfectly and allows me to hear my doorbell throughout my 2 story townhouse. Connection was pretty quick, although it took a few times to get the initial sync working. So far, I'm glad to have found a solution to allow me to keep using my doorbell. ... show more
