Installed in my 2008 Evo X MR. Installation was ok, however it required some modification of the front vents to fit correctly and clip into place. Aside from that I did the install in maybe 20 minutes or less. Very quick and easy. Longest part is determining where you want your mic and GPS antenna. The headunit its self is amazing. It blows the stock non Rockford fosgate system out of the water! Much better sound and bluetooth capabilities are great. Youtube, Google Chrome, Facebook, the possibilities on this are endless. You essentially have a tablet with car oriented settings in your dash. My only complaint/gripe is the navigation app is utter garbage, very slow and glitchy however you can easily install a 3rd party nav from the play store. The unit runs very smooth, no lag or jitter whatsoever. I didn't confirm the specifications of this however, I would whole heartedly believe that it came as advertised. It seamlessly opens and closes apps at the touch of a button. If you're familiar with Android devices navigating and customizing the user menu will be second nature to you. The unit its self sits flush and gives the car a near stock look aside from there being a giant 10.2in screen. It's a beautiful site to see nonetheless. Overall I couldn't be happier for what I paid for. The quality of this is amazing and huge props to SYGAV for the unbeatable price. This unit would easily be worth over $1000 if it had one of the bigger name brands on the market right now. If you need a new radio, get this.

I have had this head unit since 2021 Christmas. It is way better than the factory head unit and I own a Mitsubishi Lancer GT that comes with the frostgate sub woofer. I recommend it to anyone with the sub as audio is I guess louder and clear even with Bluetooth calls. It gives the dashboard a modern look as well. Installation was simple for the most part especially with the help of YouTube videos for me but if you are unsure of yourself just have someone do it for you. The only issue I had was when I updated it the Bluetooth connection to my phone wasn't working. After checking multiple websites and videos I eventually contacted the manufacturer and even with the time difference they were able to help me. Apparently I had to revert it back to its original software because the connection options that worked with my phone were not available with the current one. I was a little salty about it but it works great otherwise. Also I'm a guy that loves to hear his bass, and I haven't touched the equalizer. The loudness option puts the bass in and also of course raises the volume. Worth the investment.

Returning immediately. While ordering I didn't see an option for used, but I received a unit with someone's information already assigned and harness already used. The unit operated very slow. Conducted a factory reset to clear other person's information and try to speed it up. After doing so the only working option is BT. It don't come with carplay or android auto as advertised. Also no updates are available for this model unit so I couldn't download anything newer. Definitely not worth the money. Save it for an brand name.

Got this for 2014 evo with Rockford. I decided to do a full stereo overhaul on my evo and went full aftermarket Rockford fosgate everything. Someone said the sound quality isn’t great and maybe they didn’t find the eq settings or got a crap unit but the sound quality with my aftermarket amp and speakers are comparable to my 7000$ Klipsch Dolby atmos system in my living clarity wise. Very nice and crispy sound. I have no tints on my car and it looks as bright as you’d expect an iPad or phone screen to look against the sun which is good. Every app works fine. Using my hotspot from my phone to run the apps and music and YouTube vids all work fine. The absolute only issue i have with this unit is that it only has front and subwoofer rca outputs, no rear. So i had to use splitters for the rear channels on my amp. Also a massive thanks to the seller for going out of their way to make sure i got this unit fast because i was on a bit of a time crunch. It definitely brings my Evos cockpit to life. Also it looks a lot bigger in person than in pictures and vids I’ve seen

Pro: factory grade fit and finish. Big screen, works with oem steering wheel controls and reverse camera (if you have one, you have to buy a separate adapter). Easy to wire in, plug and play. Bluetooth works well So my headunit had a problem with the SD card and GPS. Contacted Sygav, and they helped me fix the problem. After sending me a new SD card, and some more tinkering, the GPS works, but it's slow. I like the headunit, but I wouldn't say its the best. It takes about 40 seconds to boot up, which may seem short, but compared to my smartphone and original oem headunit, it is slow to me still. For the backup camera you do have to splice into the harness, which can be a bit daunting if you're hesitant at wiring your own electronics. The picture of the wiring was blurry, but it is easy enough to do it yourself. I've noticed after a few months of using this unit, that sometimes the software programmed to the steering wheel keys "forget" their programming and so my controls remain unresponsive at times when I'm on the road. While these inconveniences may seem small and not worth mentioning to others, to me it matters. Especially because the stock oem headunit never had any flaws and worked all the time, something I was probably too used to. But that's the risk you run when modifying/replacing anything oem.
