I had a Ring doorbell, but I was tired of them raising the subscription price every year. To me, they are ripping off their customers This unit has a much better video and audio than the Ring. Seriously better. Motion detection is much better also. No false notifications like the Ring had. Easy to install. No wires needed. Battery life TBD, but still shows a full charge after a few weeks of use. Easy to charge when it is needed. Just pops out to plug into a USB B mini-cord. App is easy to download. Works great. Connects with Alexa so it will announce what you want through Alexa, or Google or Apple. Has a second unit which is plugged into an outlet in the house. The memory card in the indoor unit records all events, thus no need for a subscription. This keeps the events system secure, since it is inside the house. Unit is also the chime. So you can have events announced just through the chime, or the app or Alexa (Google Home or Siri) or any combination. Works much better than Ring and no subscription fees. One of my best purchases of the past few years. Update on battery life. The manufacturer suggests the battery will last up to six months before it needs to be charged again. My experience is 2 recharges required in a year. So they're telling the truth. And it's easy to charge. Also - the app shows the charge level, so no surprises. ... show more

This battery video doorbell has been an excellent addition to home security. The video quality is clear and sharp, even in different lighting conditions, and the motion detection is responsive without being overly sensitive. Setup was simple, and the app is easy to use. Notifications come through quickly, and the two-way audio works well for communicating with visitors or delivery drivers. The battery life has been impressive so far, lasting much longer than expected with regular use. Overall, this doorbell feels thoughtfully designed, reliable, and user-friendly.     • Pretty great! I've only had two issues with it, and both were easily fixed
This doorbell is pretty great! If I could rate it 4.5/5 stars, I would, but it doesn't quite deserve 5/5. The battery life isn't 120 days, except maybe if you use maximum power saving settings, but it's still good in the summer, and more than acceptable in the winter. (cold temperatures make lithium batteries lose charge) The video quality is really great! The notifications take about 10 seconds to come through, which is fairly quick, but if you set up Alexa routines, those activate even faster. I have my Amazon Echo Dot play a doorbell sound when the doorbell detects motion, and it consistently does that several seconds earlier than my phone. I've only ever had two problems with it: 1, when I first set it up, I had the chime in a hallway in the middle of my house, until it randomly disconnected and wouldn't reconnect, so I moved the chime a bit closer to the front of the house, and it has had a perfect connection since then! 2, the human detection isn't perfect. It does a great job of not detecting inanimate objects, but it does detect the shadow of my neighbor's flag on windy days. Fortunately, it's easy to set up activity zones to limit motion detection to specific areas. I can confirm it does still work as a doorbell if your WiFi network is offline, you just won't get notifications without WiFi. It mounts securely and requires a SIM card tool (included) or paperclip to remove. The SD card stores the video footage in the chime, so I guess if someone were to rip your doorbell off the wall and steal it, at least you'd have them on video. The two-way audio works well, the audio quality is comparable to Bluetooth handsfree calling in a car. Not amazing, but you can hear people clearly. The doorbell chime is pretty loud if you turn the volume all the way up, and it has several ringtones to choose from. The night vision works well, it'll wash out the footage when it first comes on, but after a second or two you can see faces clearly. The best part about Eufy is the app doesn't bother you about subscriptions, and doesn't put any features behind a paywall! It has a few popups sometimes, but they're not very intrusive. This is a great doorbell for anyone that doesn't have pre-existing wiring for a doorbell, especially if you live in a warmer climate where cold temperatures won't drain the battery. ... show more

    • Easy to Set-up
This is the second Eufy doorbell camera we have purchased. The first one battery life ended after approximately 2.5 years cycle (which is not bad considering the low price). I was fairly happy with the first one, so decided to go with Eufy on our second purchase. Well, I was not disappointed. The video and audio quality of our second 1080p Eufy surpasses our first doorbell camera. Night mode quality video is excellent. And to put icing on the cake, the second camera was even cheaper than the first one we purchased. So we got an even better doorbell camera for an even lower price with our second purchase. The setup was fairly easy once I figured out that I had to create a new account because I was getting confused due to the old account still active. At first I was trying to add a device to an old account until I realized that the reason I was having issues was because I needed to create a new account. After that, it was smooth sailing and the chime detected the new camera and came online within a minute. The software has been updated for our new camera and there are several options that allow you to modify or enhance the settings to your preferences. For instance, the time you receive a notification on your phone that someone is at your door can be adjusted. Or the human recognition can also be set to your preferences, and the facial recognition software is AI and can learn to work with your particular situation. I recommend this product because it is very good quality at a low price. We purchased the wireless doorbell camera in case I failed to mention that. That's my honest opinion.
