I’ve been using this eufy C220 smart lock for months as our everyday front door lock, and overall I’m very satisfied with it. The keyless entry is probably my favorite feature. The fingerprint reader makes it very convenient to get into the house without taking out a key, and using the keypad or app gives us additional ways to unlock and manage the door. After getting used to keyless entry, it’s hard to go back to a traditional lock. The lock is also very easy to use. The app is straightforward, and being able to manage the lock from my phone is especially convenient. I like the appearance as well. It has a clean, modern design and looks good on our front door without looking overly bulky. After months of daily use, it has also given me good peace of mind. Being able to check and manage the lock through the app is reassuring, especially when I’m away from home. The motor makes some sound when locking and unlocking, which is normal for a motorized smart lock, but I haven’t found the noise bothersome during everyday use. Since this is installed on our exterior front door, it has also been exposed to normal changes in weather and temperature. So far, I haven’t had any problems with its outdoor performance. Most importantly, after months of regular use, the fingerprint reader, keypad, Wi-Fi/app features, and locking mechanism have continued to work well. This is our first experience installing a keyless entry system. The installation was very simple and took no longer than 20 minutes. We just started using it a week ago, and some of the fingers I registered for fingerprint unlock don't work, but I also have quite sweaty hands. I think I may need to re-register some of them. But the codes work flawlessly. It's so convenient not having to take a key out with you. We give our house cleaner a code that is only valid on the days she comes, and it's worked well for us. The app is also very useful in letting you know who is coming in and out of your house. I just hope the battery life is as long as advertised, so we'll see. ... show more

I've tried the higher end palm reading smart lock and it was a complete nightmare. Everybody was either getting locked out or took over 20 minutes to get inside. It then decided to start malfunctioning This one however just works and was easy to set up. Setup was super easy and you can get in quickly It works with all your smart devices and if you already got eufy equipment you are set It has all the needed features the higher end ones have without any of the extra garbage that doesn't work consistently. It's nice to be able to set up temporary codes and fingerprints for people. That would come in handy if you have an air b&b you are renting out and want codes to expire or if you have a cleaning lady or dog sitter. You can remotely unlock the door from your phone at work if the Amazon guy needs to get a package out of sight. I have mine hooked up to my alexas so if I forget to lock one of my doors I can ask her to do it. Highly recommended. Oh, and have a pro locksmith install I it's worth the fee as they'll make sure the unit is installed correctly and the dead bolt has a big enough hole before calibration. ... show more

Great price for a solid well designed product. I looked at a number of locks like this one, but none matched the features, price and quality I wanted. This is my first Eufy product and so far so good. High quality and a pretty easy install and setup. Make sure this will fit properly in your door. See the measurements provided by the company. The app is really pretty easy to use and I love the auto locking feature and the ability to temporarily assign a code to the person that takes care of our cats while we are away. It keeps a log of all the ins and outs and it also had alerts that let you know if the lock is being used. I need to take the time to fix the weather stripping our door so it closes completely, because sometimes the lock can't lock because the door is not fully closed. That is the fault of the door, not the lock and the cool thing is that the app tells me when it tries to automatically lock and failed. The only negative I have seen is that on a rare occassion, the lock seems to glitch when I go to lock it when leaving the house. I just wait a beat and then put my thumb on it again and it works great. The lock looks great and seems to be well built. We use it with Alexa as well and it was easy to integrate into the Alexa app. Fingerprint recognition is the same as what you do on the phone and it has never failed for any of us. We no longer have to worry about making keys or losing them, but it does come with a key in case there is an electical issue of some kind.     • Eufy’s “Security” System Is a Dangerous Joke. Weak Alarm, Misleading Info, and Useless Support

I spent over $400 on what I thought was a full Eufy home security setup. I bought the HomeBase 2, the 5-piece sensor kit, smart lock, doorbell camera, outdoor camera, chime, and more. I expected to feel safe in my home. Instead, I got a system that can barely be heard and a support team that doesn’t even understand how their own products work. Only the HomeBase 2 makes a sound when the alarm is triggered. None of the sensors, cameras, or other components ring. Just one small box with a 100 dB siren sitting upstairs next to my router. I live in a two-story home. One day the alarm rang for hours and I didn’t even notice. Neither did my neighbors. What kind of security system is that? When I contacted customer service, I explained everything clearly. I gave them the facts, the issue, and the exact solution. Their replies were insulting. They asked me if I had tried turning up the volume. I had. They told me to try different alarm tones. I had. They told me to move the HomeBase, even though I clearly said it had to stay next to the router. Then they told me to use my doorbell camera as a siren, which is connected to a chime and would go off with every passerby. It’s not even linked to the HomeBase alarms. That suggestion made no sense at all. Then came the most ridiculous part. They actually asked me if my house had walls. Yes, my house has walls. That’s how houses work. If your product can’t be heard through a wall, it’s not fit to be called a security system. It got worse. They asked if my motion sensors and entry sensors made noise. These devices do not emit sound. They never have. It’s shocking that their own support team doesn’t even know how their products function. That’s basic information and they clearly didn’t have it. They also told me Eufy doesn’t make a separate siren. I had to send them a link to their own siren listed on Amazon before they even acknowledged it existed. I asked for two of them to be sent to me as a fair resolution. After dodging the request with emotional reassurances and irrelevant replies, they just stopped responding. To make things even more frustrating, one of the cameras I bought wasn’t compatible with the system. I only found this out through trial and error, because the product description doesn’t mention it. Nowhere does it say it won’t work. That’s on them. There’s no actual customer service number. You’re left emailing support reps who don’t read your messages, don’t know the products, and give you useless copy-paste responses while stalling you into silence. I handed them the solution. I explained the problem from day one. I did all the work for them. The moment I had an airtight case and knocked down every excuse they had, they disappeared. If you want a system that’s reliable, loud, and backed by people who care about your safety, this isn’t it. The design is flawed, the listings are misleading, and the customer service will waste your time until you give up. I regret buying this. You will too. Update: After weeks of trying to work with Eufy support, I was offered a refund that doesn’t even cover the cost of fixing the problem. I asked for two sirens so the system could function properly, or a refund to cover the actual price. They refused both and closed the case. Since I pointed out the siren was on Amazon, it was suddenly removed and now only shows up on their website. I gave them every chance to resolve this and they chose not to.     • Great lock that makes life easier

It works well most of the time. I enjoy not having to bring keys and being able to give guests their own access code. It frequently fails to lock in the winter; you have to push the door shut when the inside and outside pressures differ. Maybe it’s my door that is the problem and not the lock. A slightly annoying feature is that it will lock the door even when I just went through it. The timer is based on when it was unlocked and has no idea that you are unloading groceries and will be going through it over and over. Not a deal breaker though. It takes 8 AA batteries, which lasted about 9 months. A rechargeable battery pack would be nicer. Overall, I'm very happy to have it. The installation was simple; it took about 15 minutes. I purchased the Eufy Smart lock along with 2 others off of Amazon at the same time. Hands down, the Eufy was the best in craftsmanship and quality. It took about 30min to have it installed. It fits the opening of my other regular deadbolt. It not only makes my condo door look more appealing. It's well made and sturdy and heavy. Setting up the phone app only took about 15min and it's very easy to use. I have had 0 problems with the finger print funtion, one time every time. I love the code support option keypad that my family use. I was able to set up individual codes and even if there not used daily, there haven't been any issues. Even though there is a 2nd knob key lock. I really don't have to use it, because the deadbolt is very tight and secure. The batteries that came with it is still working and shows that the batteries want need to be changed for months. I set it to auto lock and without fail it does everytime. I keypad lighing is great day and night. I don't have to double check it. You can adjust the lock volume. So , I have it loud enough to hear someone coming in, but not alarming. I love the app, because, not only does it notify me that my door is locked when I leave, it alerts me when anyone else does as well. It was more expensive then the other two, however it's well worth the price. As far as installation. If you lay everything out and follow the instructions it's quick and easy. Or you can use Utube. Depending on your bolt hole if you're using the same one, you may have to chisel it out some as the bolt is longer. However, even with doing that it on took 30 min. Initially he didn't and it worked, however chiseling it out with a screwdriver, made it very secure. Money well spent. So impressed my neighbor across from me purchased one. I've been wanting to get one and kept putting it off. This lock has changed my life, with limited use of one hand. I don't have to dig in my purse, I can unlock before getting to the door. After, I enter it locks behind me. I do keep a key on my key ring for back up just in case. Well worth the price. This is a purchase that you want regret. ... show more

I got this eufy C220 because I wanted a smart lock that I could control remotely, especially when I am away from the house or even overseas. Being able to check the door, control the lock through the app, and manage access without physically being there was the main reason I chose this model. The built-in Wi-Fi is a big advantage because I don't need to be standing near the door to control it. I also like having multiple ways to get in, especially the fingerprint reader and keypad. Another plus for me is that it connects with my existing eufy HomeBase and fits nicely into the rest of my eufy security setup. Overall, this is exactly the type of lock I wanted for a property I need to manage remotely. Being able to control and monitor access from far away gives me a lot more flexibility than a regular electronic deadbolt. So far, I am very happy with it. ... show more
