So if you’re someone like me who cares about their privacy and doesn’t want to install another new app or have more cameras in your personal living space this may be the vacuum for you as well. No cameras on the vacuum and you don’t actually need to install an app for it to work. The 1st time I turned it on it mapped out the entire apartment and then did its thing and cleaned. The second time I turned it on the mapping was already logged from the first cleaning and it did its thing again. Once again with no app installed. Very impressed with this little guy. Before I start the vacuum, I go around the apartment and pick up anything that will essentially obstruct it from having a good cleaning, like shoes, thick rugs (which it’s not great at) but I didn’t get it for the rugs, I got it for hardwood. I also get a broom before use and get the spots I know it won’t get, corners and behind things and whatever I can and sweep it up with dustpan. When it comes to the bag, I know I don’t want to spend more $ for another bag, but it’s reusable. Carefully empty the bag and use whatever tactics you can to pull the hair out. Shake it, tap the dust out and the bag will be like new. Be advised you should definitely clean the actual vacuum out after every use, easy, takes like 3 minutes to “creatively” empty the bag, blow the dust from the filter and make sure the brush doesn’t have anything in its way that will hinder it from doing its job. The vacuum will also return to its docking station to do its self emptying process which is awesome. After its first go around at my place it was absolutely necessary that I made sure I removed all the hair and strings from the brush itself, the vacuum also picked up a paper towel and I had to remove that as well. The less the vacuum has to pick up, the faster it will get the job done. I have only used it twice but I am very happy with it. I like to clean, but I also never had hardwood floors and a dog, which lead to massive amounts of hair all over the floor. I like the quality of the vacuum and it works well if you maintain it. I have never had one of these, but honestly, if I had to buy another, I would buy the same one. It’s also nice and thin, making it capable of getting under the bed. Also, make sure and pick up any low hanging blankets or clothes, just like a handheld vacuum this will suck those things in and get caught on if you don’t get them out of the way. I have not used the app so I can’t speak on that, I don’t need to run this thing when I’m not home. There may be better ones out there, there may be cheaper ones out there, but for the price and it’s ability to get the job done, I would buy it again. Again, help it do its job, don’t leave stuff lying around and it should do what you bought it for. I hope this helps.

This little robot vac is wonderful! I’ve only had it for a few days but I am already impressed and want to brag about it. As my title says, I have German Shedders. Two full grown and a 5 month old puppy. One of the adults is long haired. When I was shopping for a new vacuum to replace my X8, whose battery died, I kept looking for reviews that mentioned how the vacuums worked with multiple large dogs. I think I found only one. So here is one for owners of big hairy heavy shedding dogs. This little guy sucks the fur all the way into the dust bin. I’ve owned two models, this brand and another which has since gone out of business, that didn’t accomplish that and recently tried another model (different brand) that couldn’t do it either. It empties the dust bin into the bag with no issues so far. The blade on the home base does really work as described and keeps the rotating bar cleared of hair wraps. It does leave a little at the end of the bar where I guess the blade can’t reach but it is easily pulled out. I keep checking it as it runs. Stopping it, pulling out the dust bin to check for clogs and flipping it over to check the brush and I have been astounded each time. No clogs; no hair buildup on the bar. It’s wonderful! I can actually trust it to just go out on its own and do its thing. It seems very conscientious and thorough in its vacuuming pattern. It’s not super quiet but it’s inaudible compared to dragging out the corded Dyson and running it. It figures out how to cross thresholds instead of hanging there and having to be moved by me before it will move on. My X8 couldn’t do that or tell when it was full or the brush was tangled, let alone empty itself. Running the X8 every day kept the fur and dirt/dust under control but it wasn’t capable of being unattended. This one has free rein in the house. It got caught under the coffee table yesterday and had to be freed and it has again today. That’s the only place in the whole house though. It’s barely catching on one spot on the coffee table as it goes under it. I may just sand a little off of the coffee table. Right now the dogs are tracking in mud from outside so it’s being confronted with a lot of dust and dried dirt. My only complaint is that I couldn’t get the vacuum in white. My X8 was white and rarely looked dirty. This black one seems to be trying to camouflage itself by collecting dust on the outside. We do have a ton of static going on right now so I’m sure that’s part of it. Hopefully that will pass. Just FYI, the vacuum I bought and returned was a Roborock Q7 M5+. I think it was the only one that had a review by an individual with large dogs. It made a few passes down the hall and left wads of hair and tangled fur around the brush. Also, since it was a mopping vacuum the receptacle for dirt and hair was tiny. If anything changes with this one performance wise I will update my review.

Its been a few months since owning this vacuum and I wanted to write an honest review. I have hardwood & laminate floors with the occasional rug here and there, with a medium-haired shedding dog, house cat, and 6 year old. I first got this when nothing was in the house so it was easy to map the entire house, and the vacuum had no issues. As I've added furniture, rugs, and transition strips, the vacuum has not had any issues accommodating the room changes. If the furniture is lightweight, it will run into it pretty hard and push it around. It tries to run up floor lamps and tables with low edges, however it has yet to get totally stuck. Whenever I run into an issue with something being clogged (either the vacuum itself or the self-empty station), I will not get a notification that it is full. It just sounds different than it usually does when emptying or cleaning the room. The vacuum and station are very easy to take apart and maintain yourself, its very user-friendly! The app will tell you when to perform maintenance on your vacuum based on how many hours it's ran, and it honestly depends on how much hair/debris your house has so keep that in mind. Overall, I would rate this a 4.5/5 stars. I feel like the app should let you know when the dust bin is totally compacted or the debris is not making it inside of the bag, or that the dust bag is full. I hope this review helps whoever it reaches!
