  • Smart, quiet, and a great value!
About my house: Hardwood floors, 3 large dogs. Enough said. What I love about this robovac: - Smart mapping. The first time you run this, there's a chance it will not vacuum everything while it maps out your house. The second time though? It finished before the battery ran out due to it's smart mapping feature. - Works with Alexa. I have alexa give me a 2 minute warning before turning on the robovac so that I can make sure there aren't any blankets hanging off the couch, etc. - Super quiet. Truly about the same noise level as a microwave. - Gets back to its charging cradle. My floor is almost a figure 8 in layout, and the vacuum gets back to the charging cradle every time. Not sure how others are having issues. - It gets the hair and dirt..period. I can finally walk around in socks with my dogs. Yay! - App is simple to use. - Value...if I got that other brand that rhymes with Loomba, I would be for sure paying more than $200 or so. Wish list - I wish the robovac gave me a heads up when the dustbin is starting to get full. - I wish the robovac did not require a solid magnetic strip to make boundaries. - I wish it had 2 arms to refill my coffee. ... show more

  • Reliability issues but best navigation algorithm of any Robovac I’ve owned
I’ve had two Robovacs fail on me over the years. Support has always been very good though, and they send replacements out quickly. They cost about half what another brand would cost and their navigation (especially when dealing with cords or chairs or unforeseen obstacles) is the best by that that I’ve seen, and I’ve owned a few Roomba, Shark and other Robot Vacuums. I basically own it for the navigation. Suction is adequate, speed is adequate, noise level is outstanding (very quiet relative to others, even on max), and pretty easy to clean and operate via the app. ... show more

  • Love It
I got the refurbished G30 Edge during prime days - it has done an amazing job. I had a G15 before that was random cleaning and I loved it, but wanted one that had a pattern and a map to get more consistent cleaning plus I can use magnetic strips with the G30 edge.. I was worried about getting a refurb but I have zero complaints so far, and I have been impressed with the improved level of cleaning and consistency along with the improved options over the G15. We named her Sally and she is amazing! I will note that I still use the G15 in the basement - I’ve had the G15 for a couple years, use it daily and it’s still doing well. I had to replace the containment unit and do the usual maintenance, but it’s still cleaning like a champ. ... show more

  • Not as smart as hoped but not bad
The good: It does live map your home. It can use that data to ensure it finds every corner and wall and cleans every sqft. It also uses the map to find its home. You can see what it cleaned in the app (though no way to compare to prior days). It’s quieter than the 30c I had the last 2 years. Though, that was pretty quiet to start with so not a huge difference. Suction seems equivalent. Equally easy to empty, filter even easier to manage and a battery door doesn’t require entire case removal (batter is recommended to change every 400 charges or so same as all their models, this makes it trivial) vs others that are major tear downs) Wi-Fi setup was easier than in the past but still requires connecting to the device. No NFC setup. Inexpensive and reliable for what it does vs the competition. Can (optionally) remind you when to change filters, brushes and do other maintenance. (Should be on by default but isn’t). Refurb model was in perfect new condition with all accessories. My 3rd refurb from eufy and I see no reason not to buy refurb vs new. Not so good: It does not USE the map for future cleanings or efficiently finish one room before going to others. Though it follows a grid pattern, it’s still “random” in that it chooses where to clean next based on bumping things. If it finds a way out of a room without finishing the room it will eventually come back, and it will clean every sqft, but that may not be on the same charge run. Batter lasts less than the 30c by a good 20-30min. It cannot complete the 1000 sqft of my first floor on a charge. It does (optionally) charge back to 80% before continuing, since it’s not keeping a memory of the map it can’t intelligently know how much is left to charge only as much as it needs, it takes 3-4h to get back to 80% before it continues. No virtual boundaries, can’t name rooms, can’t tell it to clean a certain room as each day it wipes the map and starts all over again. You have to use magnetic strips to tell it where not to clean. It does come with some of this strip, but the strip is not backed with its own glue, requires double sided tape. This is sad because clearly it can use the map to efficiently move to areas it hasn’t cleaned, it is nothing but software preventing it from re-using the map on further runs. They prevent this feature by their choice only. No Siri support. (Anker/eufy don’t seem interested in apple). Apple app does control vacuum, just lacks Siri and again this is purely a software choice as it has all required hardware components. Scheduling still limited to one time each day. Cannot schedule rooms only full cleaning. Comes with fewer spare accessories than prior models. Only 1 filer and 1 side brush spare. Single side brush vs 2 on prior model is not as good at catching light dust on bare floors and directing it to the roller but it’s grid pattern may be making up for that in the end vs random bump and go. Must use phone as remote, no physical remote. However it does respond to the remote from the 30c, so no reason it doesn’t have one Doesn’t seem to be offered as an accessory. Have to manually share the vacuum with each family member who each need a eufy login to do so. Those without phones can’t control the vacuum except to start/stop and send home. Though it reminds you to change all accessories, strangely it does not remind you to empty the bin. Doesn’t seem to try hard enough to go under chairs, instead marking them as walls. That said when it does get under a table it will find its way out and not bump around so long lost between table legs. We’ll likely move our chairs around every few days to ensure it does find ways under tables more reliably or be forced to spot clean after meals. Overall: a nice upgrade from the 30c. I wish they had the next model up available refurb so I could use full electronic mapping, but I suspect they’ll have a model that does that at a lower price in 3 years when the Amazon warranty I added on this one runs out. I dont think $200+ more for the newer model above the g30 makes sense at this time given it’s the same platform but just slightly smarter unless you must have per-room scheduling. ... show more

  • Machine Non Functional out of the Box
Unpacked and set up machine. Showed fully charged. But, after, it would just come out of its charging unit, turn 180 degrees, begin to run up the vacuum motor and then completely stop. Same scenario happened repeatedly - no difference if controlled manually or by app. Would not start when placed on floor from charging unit. In my opinion the unit had not been renewed. Seems issue it was returned for must have persisted. I am irritated that I wasted time trying to get it to run and now must take the time to return it. From what I can see I believe EUFY makes good robot vacs - and I will try a new one. Just nothing from WOOT. ... show more

  • Kind of Confused...
This is my second G30. I already have a standard g30 upstairs and got this one with EDGE tech for downstairs. It cleans well but for some reason, even after doing the entire floor, it does it two and three more times. I find myself having to send it home as opposed to my standard G30 that knew the job was done and went back home to charge. Also, I placed the strips by the edge of a small rug and during the first and second use, it worked fine. Today, however, the vacuum literally went right over the strips like they were not there. That was weird. This is the refurbished version. So, I am wondering if that was the issue with this originally. Not going to return it for those reasons because this was a great price although refurbished. Battery life is amazing and set up was a breeze. ... show more
