  • Really ergonomically supportive
The media could not be loaded. The chair that my company provides me at work really hurts my back. I don't want to complain and ask for a new chair as there are no other chairs. I decided to buy one on my own so I went looking for expensive office chairs and found this one. it got a lot of really good reviews so I took a chance on it. Assembly on it was very easy and it took me 10 minutes to build it in my office. All of the build components and parts are very excellent quality and we're consistent with the price of this chair. Pros: Base is made out of metal and heavy so it prevents the chair from tipping over easily. Includes two complete sets of wheels, caster wheel type which is what was on my current office chair and roller blade type wheels. I chose to go with the rollerblade type wheels and they are super quiet and smooth when rolling across the tile versus the caster wheels which are allowed. The lumbar region has support for my lower back. It actually supports an arches my lower back similar to how you can pump up the lower part of your seat in your car. This is what was hurting on my other seat because it did not have any lower back support. The armrests have multiple adjustment positions, both up down side to side and they turn left and right. They had rest is a bonus which my other chair didn't have. The chair is very supportive and has a firm feel to it which I need to adjust to. I'm not sure if this chair needs to break in or not but it is a firm chair which my other chair was not. They reclines really far back and I can literally take a nap in it because of the headrest. Cons: using the rollerblade type wheels makes the chair a little taller. Not a big deal though. The chair is firm and take some getting used to. Summary: overall ergonomically I feel much better in this chair. I am still adjusting to the chair's firmness. But this is a trade-off for a chair that made me slouch and hurt my lower back ergonomically. A chair is definitely worth the money and I'm very glad that I went with this one. But most importantly my back feels better. ... show more

  • More pleased than expected, awesome chair
I'm 4'10" and struggle to find chairs that don't fit and look like that are made for someone 6'+. This chair, by the description seemed like a promising replacement for my old, oversized, and underpadded gaming chair. It arrived a day early and was in a slightly smaller box than expected, but it was well and safely packed. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, for the most part. My only complaint is the way some of the screws were labelled was a little confusing at first but I figured it out quickly. The assembly was a breeze to do solo and I had the chair assembled in maybe 20 mins tops. It fits like it was made for me. The lumbar support has taken some getting used to but it feels excellent and has 3 notches for height positioning. The headrest is also adjustable both with a tilt and height function. This chair is sleek, well-padded, and a major upgrade. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • This is a great chair, comfortable and the assembly is amazing, with excellent docs!
This chair came extremely well packaged in a cardboard box (that was very heavy) - literally each item was packed in sheet foam or cardboard - there were no loose pieces. That was the first thing that impressed me. The second thing that impressed me was this chair was made in China (of course), but OMG! The instruction manual that came with it was Incredible. They laid out and precisely illustrated each step in better English than most of us even speak! Then came the assembly. It came with a single size "T-style" allen wrench that was the same for every screw. The screws themselves were precisely packaged in blister on cardboard, and every group of screws was Clearly marked specifically what it was for with both words and a number. It was very easy to assemble and took me just over an hour with interruptions to put it all together. The pieces were really intuitive, but they took the time to make pointers if there was any possible question - like the underside of the chair in the front is labeled "front" and the arms, which are referred to as left and right, but some people may not realize that when you have the chair upside down that appears reversed, so the arms also have a label under them that says "front" with an arrow that should point at the front of the chair. Other things like the legs of the chair only go on one way so there is no question there, and they do tell you what order to tighten the screws. All of the screws also already have threadlocker on them to minimize them coming loose. You can also use the box as a stand for then you assemble the bottom and back. I think a 6th grader could probably assemble this chair (may need help tightening screws enough). They do provide one of each screw as a spare in case you manage to lose one. What I like: The whole seating portion of the chair is all mesh and is well ventilated for us bigger folks. The only exception is the front of the chair seat where they also put foam under the mesh to keep id comfortable on your legs. The lumbar support appears to be in the perfect position for me and it supports my back well. One big thing for me is that this chair goes high enough up (!!!!) so that I don't have to curl my feet under me and it feels great to be able to have my feet flat on the floor while I sit. It goes down a good ways too. I am just short of 6 feet. If you are really short they have a way you can contact them to get a shorter piston for under the seat, so they thought of that too. There are the standard features where if you pop in the raise/lower lever it locks the chair back, and if you pull it out you can use tilt (with the standard tension adjuster), and the back relationship to the seat is adjustable. The chair arms can both slide forward and back to adjust to where you like them (a bit too easily, maybe), and pivot in and out as well as they are height adjustable. I don't think I missed anything. What could be improved: The chair comes with a headrest like in your car, but as I said I'm just short of 6 feet, and I would need a good 4 or 5 more inches to be able to raise it up above the seat back if I'm going to rest my head against it. The back is "adjustable", but unlike many office chairs where you loosen a knob, slide it where you want it and tighten the knob, in this case there are 3 screws to loosen, make the adjustment and tighten. If only one person is going to use the chair it's probably set and forget, but in an office that might have several people sharing the chair that might be an issue. However, that 3 bolt setup is unlikely to come loose and have your seat back flopping around like I have had with other chairs. When I try to pull the chair into me like sitting at a table the armrest pads slide forward (not hard to slide back once seated, but...) this might be improved with some kind of release button or tension knob, but it's not a huge deal. It's also very easy to have them pivot when you go to move the chair, but again that is easily put back as desired. Things it's too early to comment on: I've had this chair about a week and really like it so far. I am well under the weight limit for this chair, and so far I've found it comfortable to sit in for hours, but my previous office chair had a webbed bottom and the webbing eventually came loose after a time. This one DOES seem like a much better assembly and the plastics are much heavier than my previous chair so I am optimistic that it will remain comfortable. Right now it's great. I hope you found this review helpful. I try to make my reviews as accurate as I can based on my experiences (good or bad) and am not afraid to speak my mind if I don't like a product, but at the same time suggest things that might improve it. Right now, with what I know, if I had to buy another of these chairs I certainly would, and only knocked off one star because of my comments about adjusting the back and not being able to use the headrest. ... show more
