  • A very good chair. Great for the price.
This is a very comfortable, well-made office chair. Is it a Herman Miller or Steelcase? No, but it's maybe 80% as good as one of those top-of-the-line executive models, at like 20% of the cost. It's very adjustable: the seat goes up and down reliably on a solidly made gas spring, andcan be adjusted forward and back (using an allen key to adjust bolts; it's something you set up when assembling the chair and then, if you're like me, you tweak it by an inch or so once you've sat in it to test the fit). Armrests have 4 vertical positions and can pivot in and out, and slide forward and back, and the headrest goes up and down by a few inches. So it should be able to fit most peoples' bodies, but most importantly, it is comfortable to sit in for long periods whether typing or leaning back (the seat back can also be locked in at 90 degrees/upright, so you can put your full weight back and it wont tip back, which I find useful). Time will tell how it wears, but I get the sense it's well made, and short of the lift mechanism losing pressure, there's not much that really could break with use. No squeaks, creaks, etc. Assembly is straightforward and well-documented. That might seem trivial, but it's not a given: I bought an adjustable desk at the same time as this chair from another company, and the directions and assembly were absolutely awful. The diagram showed illustrations of parts not included in the desk I'd bought; screws were manufactured so sloppily that they couldn't thread into their holes; several instructions contradicted themselves. So, the Sunnow chair isn't that: parts are well labeled and organized in a cardboard and plastic box that makes assembly as pleasant as possible, and necessary tools are included. I'm 6'3", and I chose Sunnow's chair from many similar-looking clones because of the price, features listed, and because it's advertised as having a deeper seat for those with longer legs. I did find that to be true, and it can be adjusted high enough that only my toes touch the ground. I will say that the headrest, even in the highest position, is still too low to fully support the my head, but it's still comfortable enough to rest my neck on. The mesh seems strong and I can't see it wearing out or deforming anytime soon. It's not as taut as the material on a $500 or $1000 chair... but this isn't one of those chairs. I paid $150 for this thing, including tax and shipping. At that price, the mesh and anything else that's just short of great is more than acceptable. Overall: it's nice to sit in. As much as I'm happy with the chair itself, I'm equally impressed with the responsive customer service. Based on a picture in the listing, I was under the impression that the chair came with a lumbar pillow (this doesn't have adjustable lumbar support, which some, mostly more expensive, models do). As mentioned, I'm unusually tall, and I have a long torso to boot, meaning that what's comfortable for my lower back is probably way outside the norm for most people. I'd guess that most will be comfortable in the chair as-is, no need for an extra pillow, but, even though the seat was comfortable and I'd adjusted everything to the right height for me, my lower back felt kind of slumped in the chair as it came out of the box. But, I'd seen the picture of the pillow in the ad and figured it was included in the box, and it wasn't. Also, a few reviews mentioned that the chair came with rollerblade-style wheels to replace the standard plastic casters. So I thought those'd be included, and they weren't. I emailed their support team asking about the two items (the address is listed in the documentation in the box and easily found on the product page, unlike many sellers who seem to evaporate once they've got your money). A person named Sophia replied within a day explaining that, while the pillow and wheels aren't included by default, they'd be happy to mail both to me, at no cost. The pillow showed up in a few days, and effectively solved my issue with lumbar support. Now, would it be nice if there was an adjustable lumbar mechanism already on the chair? Sure, I could have used it. Is the pillow a totally fine, simple solution to a problem that probably only 10% of people care about? Yeah, and omitting the lumbar adjuster for everyone who wouldn't have needed it surely keeps the overall cost down. The wheels were backordered and took a few more days to arrive, but the person I was emailing with was very communicative about their expected arrival date, gave me updates when they shipped, and responded quickly to my follow-up email. Honestly, this chair itself is good, maybe a B objectively, and a B+ given the low price. The customer service is an A. Based on my interactions with them and the way they publicize their warranty, the company seems to genuinely care about their product and their customers coming away happy (and obviously, they're hoping for positive reviews like this one, which I believe is earned). My only real criticism, as it goes, is that they should either remove the photo of the lumbar pillow from the listing, or else include it by default in the box. And maybe make a note that, while previous versions came with 2 sets of wheels, it currently only ships with one. (Or, again, just include both sets of wheels with all purchases, so people aren't reading reviews that mention the awesome blade wheels and not receiving them in their shipment). The wheels really are a step up, too--they glide smoothly and silently, even over the lip of a dense anti-fatigue mat that I have near my desk, whereas the original wheels, while they're fine, couldn't. So those listing issues are my main knocks against (and the fact that the headrest is more of a neckrest for tall people, and it doesn't stay extended to maximum height very well, it slides back to the lowest position when I do use it). But again: $135 before tax. You can't get a chair nearly this comfortable or well-made at Office Depot or Ikea for that price. I looked--the nearest competitor I found at Ikea, for instance, was $200, had a foam seat (all-mesh was a necessity for me), and didn't have adjustable arm- or headrests. So all in all, I recommend this chair. Even with the caveats, I believe I got a very good product that's way better for my back and neck than the one I'd been using, and I think the price is more than fair, it's a genuine bargain. And based on my customer service interactions, I have every reason to believe that if you don't like the chair, they'll allow you to return it for a refund without much hassle. ... show more

  • Sturdy and Comfortable
Color: Dark Black Mesh Style: Modern
This chair was quite easy to assemble, taking minimal time and effort. It's impressively sturdy and comfortable, particularly with the added lumbar back support insert, which makes long hours of sitting more manageable. The chair glides smoothly on its wheels, making it easy to roll around, and the movable armrests are a great feature for customizing the fit. The overall build quality is solid for its price, making it a budget-friendly option without sacrificing comfort or durability. Whether for a home office or gaming setup, this chair delivers excellent value. I really like it and would definitely purchase another. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • The best of both worlds: high-end ergonomic chair at an affordable price
Color: Dark Black Mesh Style: Modern
Comfortable, sleek office chair with great lumbar and neck support at an affordable price, the seller Sunnow has put on the market a chair that is the best of all considerations in shopping for an ergonomic office chair. It was easy to assemble and, with less than 20-30 minutes of assembly, you magically get a chair that looks like it was delivered from a high-end furniture store. Sunnow supports regular rolling wheels or, if your use is on a hard surface like hardwood floors, Sunnow gladly and promptly provides hard rubber rollers (like inline skate wheels) that do better on hard surfaces. I have purchased many office chairs in my life, and this is by far the best one I've ever had at a really fair price. ... show more

  • Comfortable enough - not great (Edited)
Color: Dark Black Mesh Style: Modern
My main complaint is the height of the lumbar support. It would be a great chair if the lumbar were better situated. Otherwise, the chair is pretty comfortable. I just bought it so longevity is yet to be determined. Update: The seller made prompt contact to offer a solution for the support. Once I receive that, I will update further. Thank you to the seller for trying to help! ... show more

  • Waited 6 months for review
Color: Dark Black Mesh Style: Modern
So far great chair! I wanted to wait for about 6 months using their chair to determine if it worked out for me. I really like that the lumbar support adjusts very easily. The chair has held up very well. You can lock it when it leans back but I actually prefer it to be able to rock back in forth. Head rest is comfortable. The seat cushion is pretty standard based on other chairs I have had. No terrible but not super comfy so you may want to get extra padding but that is pretty much every office chair in this price range I have experienced. Very easy to assemble as well. So far I have enjoyed using it. ... show more

  • Great value office chair.
Color: Dark Black Mesh Style: Modern
Product is easy to assemble and is comfortable for my wife. Adjusting is easy but the lumbar support will not lock at the upper position. It has solid construction.

  • Really comfortable, very nice back rest and seat.
Color: Dark Black Mesh Style: Modern
This chair was extremely comfortable. The most unique part of it was the adjustable lower back rest. As a high school student who spends hours at a time at a chair, back rest is something I value a lot. This chair provided exactly that, and I have been utilizing it well. The seat was also extremely firm and unlike other chairs, it provided comfort over a long period of time. Many other office chairs are very soft, and as a result, my butt gets every sore after a couple of hours. The only criticism I have to offer is that the back rest is adjustable, but it often slides down when I try to push it to the top. Other than that, this is a wonderful chair that is great for it’s pricing and I definitely recommend getting it. ... show more
