  • Like when I was a kid
Had a clock like this when I was young. This one seems more cheaply made as all things are today but works exactly the same. Was fairly easy to adjust to get correct time. Runs for about 24 hours on a full wind up.

  • Stopped working after a week
Worked ok at first. The alarm was a little off but I could love with that. After a few days it would lose time. I wound it 2x a day and set the alarm nightly. After a few days the alarm stopped all together.

  • Nostalgic
My uncle loves these alarm clocks. He buys several at a time to make sure he always has a backup. They’re reliable, durable and the dials are easy to use to set the alarm or the time. Fits great on his nightstand and fit with any decor.

  • It works well if you know how to take care of it.
I like the compact design of this clock. It took me a week to figure out how to make the clock run with decent accuracy. What I found out is that the clock runs faster with a loose string and slower with a tight string, even when the accuracy setting is optimal. So I wind it up twice a day, trying to use the right range of tightness for the string. The last thing I want to share is that the ticking sound is soothing and the alarm sound is loud enough to wake me up even when I have noise reduction ear muffs on. All in all, I recommend this product. ... show more

  • It works...
Despite what some of the other reviews say, the product absolutely works. But man is the ticking LOUD. It doesn't seem that intrusive at first but I could hear it clearly across a large room. Not great for light sleepers. The clock is also entirely plastic and feels cheap as a result, nothing like the robust wind up clocks I grew up with. Wouldn't trust this thing to wake me up on time every morning. ... show more

  • Wind up clock, no batteries.
Clock runs a little slow two to five minutes each day. Adjustment did not help very much

  • Do NOT buy -- Especially if you're injured
Where to begin.... First, I found it to not accurately keep time. I think this had to do with how much I wound it up. I would literally wake up and not know what time it was, which is the entire purpose of having a clock! Seemed off by 10-20 minutes ish. Not consistently the same off time. Also, you have to wind it up to make it work. No batteries/electric option. I somehow missed this when I was buying it. I'm sure it's mentioned, and is good for the environment, but people should be clear about this. I also had to wind it twice a day. I know, I know cry me a river. Bit of a hassle. I'm also injured, so I literally kinda hurt myself winding it up. Can't see it in the dark, which I somehow thought I would be able to do so. Lastly, the plastic would periodically make loud popping noises, not great for a light sleeper. ... show more
