Style: Projector
My initial experience with this projector was very poor. Upon delivery the FedEx guy DROPPED the box at my feet so I could sign for it. Upon opening the box and setting up the projector I got an error which read “Error in Auto Iris – Contact Nearest Epson Service Center”…….FANTASTIC! Apparently the rough treatment of the box knocked the light source out of alignment which rendered the projector useless. I can’t blame the FedEx guy too much because the box was the basic Amazon box with no indicators that the box did indeed contain fragile material. I immediately contacted the Epson service center and was informed my projector was still under warranty (of course it was, five minutes out of the box it better be!) A new projector arrived 2 days later in 100% working order with clear indications on the box that a sensitive projector was enclosed and “fragile” was expressly indicated. The exchange process was simple with prepaid shipping for the return. NOW, about the projector. Background for my intended use for said projector: I work for a law firm and we use the projector at meetings to display PowerPoint presentations and at trial to display documents used as evidence/exhibits. This is not my first projector. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the easy setup and immediate connection when using the USB cord. I projected onto a dark grey wall in our conference room and all colors were easily discernible with a clear image. Focusing and leveling are simple with easy to use controls. When you slide the shutter closed in front of the lens the light powers off and goes into what I would call a “rest mode” – this does not shut down the projector. As soon as you slide the shutter open the lamp kicks back on. This is a helpful feature because if left on for long periods of time the projector does get hot. Instead of turning the projector completely off, the “rest mode” allows the unit to cool down while not in use. The remote is possibly the BEST function of the projector. Instead of manually controlling from my laptop I can now click through slides from presentation mode while I’m standing at a podium or in the front of the room. The remote also has a zoom feature, which makes it easy to zoom in on key material on a displayed document. I understand that it has wireless capabilities and that is definitely a plus I will attempt before my next trial. Projector came with a padded carrying case, remote and necessary cords. Overall a good purchase for the price compared to other more expensive models. I would recommend this product, just watch for your delivery guy and try to prevent any dropping of your box. ... show more

  • Good machine; poor product description.
Style: Projector
I received it yesterday and used it for a presentation today. LIghtweight, very strong, clear light, adjustable tilt on lens as well as adjustable feet and plastic prop. The description doesn't say that it includes a carrying case but it does. The remote runs the machine(batteries included), but instead of a laser pointer it shows a double arrow onscreen which is clumsily operated with the arrow keys. I purchased a laser pointer to use instead. For today's lecture, which was to a small group, I projected onto a dry-erase board so that I could use marker on the images. It worked well. It can also project clearly at a distance on a wall or larger screen. It doesn't come with the wireless key; you have to purchase it seperately. It was a good thing that today's setup allowed me to connect my laptop closeby. Except for the lack of product disclosure above (I bought another carrying case, since it was bundled with the laptop and I assumed there wasn't one. Now I have to return the case and pay $9 for shipping!), it worked well for what I needed. ... show more

  • Great entry-level projector!
I went back and forth as this was my first projector. I finally decided on this one for the amazing price as well as the fact that I work with this model regularly at work and was satisfed with its easy-to-use ability. Having now gotten it, I can say that I am very pleased with my decision and have begun watching many Christmas movies for the season on it. As other customers said, ıt ıs sometimes a little loud the fan, but thats not a problem as you kind of need external speakers for proper volume so thats soon lost in better sound quality. Thus far we have had no problems with it, though I would recommend getting a ceiling mount to save yourself the pain of constantly adjusting it to fit the wall. We have two cats who we are nervous about leaving it around at night, and having that overhead mount would have been nice. ... show more

  • Excellent, great luminosity
Excellent, great luminosity, no signs of wearing it, which for a refurbished projector means that it was very well taken cared off, easy to navigate, came with all accessories, even the batteries. Okay, Pros: -Great deal of Lumens (3000 True lumens) great deal on a lighten environment. -No scratches nor dims -All original accessories and bag -Wide connectivity options -UI user friendly -Remote has a verified 40ft range front and back. Cons The only thing that it was a little disappointing was the fact that the screen is not a perfect square, top left corner is a bit out of square which is kind of uncomfortable for the one that notices it, it is very slight but it's there Other thoughts: beside the con, it can be worked around, simply zoom out and make the edge overlap the black edge of the screen, play a bit with the lifter knobs and position of the projector and it's fairly unnoticeable. ... show more

Style: Projector
I use for watching TV day or nite, connected to my cable box and sound bar. It's bright enough to see in the daytime, even in the bright southern Nevada sun, on the electric drop-down screen ( 100" 4:3 Electric Projection Screen Auto Projector Matte White RC Remote Control [Electronics] Sold by: GotHobby) I set it up in my living room, and it's hard to see unless I point it out. I mounted the screen over the window and you don't notice it as it blends in so well. and the remote is easy to use to raise or lower it. I now have a 84" picture to watch. Back to the Projector, easy to use, easy to watch. The 3000 lumens really make a difference, but only time will tell how long the expensive lamp will last, using it this way. They say 6000 hrs in ECO! I also enjoy watching DVD's. I have yet hooked up my lap top or smart phone, but for now I'm enjoying it. Oh, best price on the web from Amazon. Check it out... ... show more
