    • Update: Seller states that they have new factories
Update 1/29: The sellers contacted me to let me know that both of my heaters came from a factory that was not performing well. They stated that they have since cut ties with that factory and that the quality of the heaters has improved markedly. They offered me two replacement heaters from one of their new factories. I will update my review again - with pictures - once I try out the new heaters. I have updated my rating to reflect the customer service I have received from Linda. She consistently replies within a day and has been diligent about following up to this review. ------------- tldr: We ordered two heaters. One caught fire after a couple hours of use (see picture) and the other stopped turning on. Assembly: it took about forty-five minutes to an hour to assemble each heater. Assembly was straightforward and the instruction booklet is broken into logical steps. The pictures in the booklet leave a lot to be desired, but you can mostly figure it out from the text. Heat output: one worked well immediately, the other did not put out as much heat. We used them on a just below freezing day and it was fairly warm if you were immediately under the well functioning heater. The explosion: all of a sudden, we had flames shooting out of the area of the heater that's not supposed to be lit. Fortunately, the gas hose melted and dropped down, cutting the flow of fuel to the heating unit. So, positive: the safety feature worked. Unfortunately, we still had a potentially dangerous fire on our hands. The return process: despite the fact that the heater had literally become a dangerous fireball, it took me over two weeks to have my full refund issued. During that time, I disassembled both heaters, put the potentially working one back together, discovered that it no longer turned on, disassembled it, and then had to put them both back together again...to take a picture showing two unworking heaters?? I'm still not sure what the point of that was. Both heaters are ready for trash pick up now, though. If the non-existent quality control, potential fireball, and slow customer service hasn't turned you off these heaters, hit me up for assembly help - I'm good at it by now. ... show more

    • More than what I expected
For a garage or patio, LP heaters are definitely a great option. Many of these have the same design, with the big "hat" and heat unit right under it that looks like a sort of short scalloped metal drum. This design actually works really well, as it reduces the chances of anyone near it touching a hot surface, and the "hat" radiates the heat down and out. During this pandemic, we had a garage party with all doors and window open here in New England on a breezy 22F night. Even at that temp and level of air current, after running this thing on high for 2 hours, the 500 sf garage was so warm we had to turn this thing down to a vey low setting. I've had 3 brands so far - returned the first 2 due to defects. This one is the best. All parts were present in the box, no defects, and better instructions than the rest. Even the hardware was better thought out. The materials used are also very good quality. Even the finish - which looks in photos like the same stamped bronze finish that comes on many of these - is much thicker (industrial?) paint that looks baked on and is much richer up close, and has a deep gloss. The controls, structure, and all other components are well made. I like the fact that it will hold a 30 pound tank, as running this type of heater with a 20 pound tank will last maybe 5-6 hours. ... show more

    • Love It!
This heater is a game changer for outdoor, social distanced visits from friends and family. It produces a great deal of heat when needed, or a subtle amount if one just needs to take a slight chill out of the air. It is quiet. Also, and for me most importantly, it lights instantly without a lot of fuss. Not all propane heaters do that for sure. I ordered another one of our other patio. The media could not be loaded. *** UPDATE 1/5/21 *** We have received a replacement unit that seems to be functioning properly. Damage to top (see picture). Missing all washers. No customer support (email/phone) Poorly translated instructions. Included two parts (rubber grommets for cover opening) not included in instructions. I could live with all that but the darn thing didn't work. See pictures. ... show more

    • Good heater, bad wheels
Has a heater it works real well. There are many heaters similarly priced but I picked this one because it had wheels. I would have rated it higher except for the holes for attaching the wheels were not drilled correctly. they’re offset by at least an inch and a half.

I love The fact that it’s powder coated! I’m using it in my backyard on my patio. And it is easy to maneuver around because of the wheels that are attached to the base. that is a must!

    • It Does Not Come with a Cover
It is great, puts out plenty of heat and lasts for many evenings on a single 20 or 30 lb. tank. But it did not come with a cover as other reviews have pointed out. Seller should changed the description and picture or ship us our cover.

Gas control valve (thermocouple connection) was not assembled properly, causing the flame to go out after initial lighting. Customer support was not helpful and seized immediately after warranty return window closed. Once unit was properly assembled, it does produce nice heat. All parts are very thin and have sharp edges! Manual references a pilot light, which this unit does not have. Instructions mention 10sec in one place and 30sec in another place to hold dial for starting. ... show more
