It happens to the best of us - the car won't start because the battery is dead/ drained. Roadside assistance can take awhile, it's not a safe option to flag down a stranger, and cellular dead-zones are a problem for every service provider. This little gadget is a game changer and saver of days. It holds a prominent place in my vehicle's safety kit, used even more often than the bandaids. I've personally used mine four times in the three years I've owned one, helping out friends, partners, and stressed out neighbors in a bind. Two out of four times, regular jumper cables would not have been long enough to connect to another car due to the position of the vehicle. One time it was used in a snow storm in a remote area in which getting stranded could have been a serious matter of survival. On roadtrips, camp outs, daily commutes, and even errand runs, I take this. It's super portable, easy to use (the instructions are crystal clear), and quick to work. In 60 seconds, the engine is purring. Stays charged, too! Though it was used multiple times without recharging, the digital battery indicator somehow still showed above 90% power! I have bought and used several of these. They are easy to use and work very well. They hold a charge for a long time. Typically I bring them in once a year to charge but they really don't need it that often.

I ordered this in July 2023. I didn't get around to opening the package until August 10. I read the manual and as instructed plugged it in to charge. I was away the next few days and came back to find that it was not charged. I moved it to a different outlet and reread the instructions to make sure I did it right. A day later it still was not charged. Came to Amazon to look for support and find that I have missed the return window by a few days. I purchased this based on reviews I had read on other sites, so I didn't think to read the reviews here before purchasing. I now see that this is a regular issue for this item. Dead on arrival and won't take a charge. The only option seems to be replacement. Very disappointed, in the product's condition and my own failure to do due diligence. My husband loves it. Great when it's really cold and the battery doesn't want to turn over. My husband has to be to work at 3:45 A.M. So really comes in handy when wind chills are below 0 here in Nebraska. Doesn't have to call anyone and wake them up.
