Bought for my husband with his new resin printer, can’t compare it to other resins because it’s the first and only one he’s used. It prints well, definitely usable by a beginner. It doesn’t smell awful, but it does have a noticeable smell. We can smell it in the room we use it in but not beyond that. Again, definitely not noxious or anything, but not unscented. We’ve printed some miniatures for D&D, an articulated model, and a hinged box and all went well. We actually just bought more, so yes, I’d say I recommend it. ... show more

I made an exposure test of this resin and was stunned by how clear it is. The first photo (wood in background) is after a water wash and UV curing. It is good, but slightly foggy. I suspect this is due to the over exposure required to make the first layer stick to my build plate and the roughness of the build plate. The second photo is after polishing with 400 then 600 grit wet sandpaper. This was followed by buffing with a polishing compound. The resolution is superb. Printed some alien flora. Frosted white after curing, even in water bath. Easily clears when coated with clear resin or clearcoat. Transmits light well. May be slightly more brittle but washing under warm water makes the prints flexible so it's pretty easy to remove supports. Remove supports, then cure in water bath. Clean up is so easy. I have specialty resins for special projects but this a good "go-to" product for run of the mill stuff. Smells as good/bad as most. ... show more

If you are running a 3D printer and have concerns about issues of problems with odor or cleaning and disposing of waste products from print clean up, this is a great alternative from standard resins. You still need to use adequate health protection (gloves, mask), but this is a good product if you have pets or children around. Note that you can still use iso alcohol as part of your cleaning process - I prefer to wipe down my build plate with iso between prints. Just note that you do have to be mindful that this can produce a slightly more brittle print than standard resin, but the trade off may be worth it based on your circumstances. ... show more
