  • EP1500
Size: 1500 Watts
This unit feels like a solid, well built unit and has nice basic features, I especially like the wired remote which also has an LED readout with menu scroll on it rather than the just on/off button like many do. I tested it with a small load (fan) right out of the box using the 2awg that comes with it and connected it to an older (freestanding) 12 volt SLA battery. The fan ran just under five hours. So at this point I am happy with my purchase and I will post an update with any significant changes ... show more

  • The USB ports aren't Quick Charge enabled.
Size: 150 Watts
The inverter portion works great. I use this to power my MacBook Air on our family vehicle. My MacBook Air is very old with a broken battery so it needs to be constantly plugged into a charger. This inverter never failed to power my 85W charger. On the other hand, the USB ports doesn't seem to be Quick Charge enabled. I have an Anker Qi Wireless Charger that can run off of USB-C PD or QC 2.0/3.0. I plugged it into one of the USB ports and the Anker wireless charger was flashing at me telling me the charger is not able to supply the power needed. I think the USB ports on the device is just your normal 5V 2.4A charging ports you'd find on a regular charger. I'm taking 2 stars off for the false advertising. ... show more

  • It works
Size: 150 Watts
Using this inverter via a 12 volt cig socket for a 5 amp lifeP04 battery charger and it worked well. The inverter fan is not silent as stated.

  • 150W if you're special, too much work to for a basic car inverter
Size: 150 Watts
No PDF user manual led to chasing Energizer and Power Bright listed in the print user manual: Energizer name licensed by Bright Manufacturing LLC, Florida??? Made by 100% US owned Power Bright (subsidiary?), Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu China. Uhm, well, ok. Still no PDF soft copy manual. 10~11V low voltage shutdown a bit wide. Max 85% efficiency. 0.4A no load. Ok, definitely going to want this on an on/off switch to the fuse box since the car won't be on shore power. Cigarette lighter has an afterthought T10L250V 5x20mm glass cartridge fuse, time lag for anti-surge So it is 13.8V*10A*210%=300W, 2min maximum Well now, maybe the electronics won't smoke after 2 min if the surge is more than 300W? A 5A or 6.3A time lag in 218 series seems more appropriate. Not sure 8A is right--let's see what the operating temp is: 40C (104F) max operating temp. So I should move to Alaska and lazily leave it in the car. Good idea. My car was just 60C (140F) during a sunny day, so quickly calculation derates about 40% from 150W to 90W ([email protected]). 4A time lag should be >6A indefinitely 8.4A@120s, 11A@10s, 16A@3s. Good enough fix. Upsize if needed. Fan doesn't turn on often, but is noticeable when on. Nevermind, just set reminder to self not to block fan vents. Forgot to derate to maybe 66% of 90W so it works longer; nevermind. Too much work to have a basic <90W car inverter. Hope it doesn't die after 2 years. ... show more

  • Worked fine right out of the box!
Size: 3000 Watts / Modified
I understand that some products purchased end up DOA.. I hooked my inverter up to a deep cell AGM battery and fired up my freezer - everything worked as expected or as it should have. My chest freezer is in the bed of my truck and it ran about 30 minutes 4 or 5 times without incident. Fans never came on (no way to test until summer when the load will be higher). The voltage on the inverter was around 13.3 DC and 117 AC output with a 300 watt load. No clicking or popping noise and no circuit nannies were tripped. The highest wattage came on a 50 degree day when the compressor first started and hit 580 watts - the real test will be when the temp is 90 degrees in the box and outside. The draw at that time should be much higher. I hooked my meter into the inverter outlet and plugged the freezer into the meter to check total draw; light at the control panel about .5 watts, lifting lid - interior light is 5 watts and everything else is cooling. Amperage draw was typical for a freezer and shouldn't pose any problems. Voltage AC at 117 from inverter was lower than typical household plug's 122, but no noticeable difference in operation was seen. I have some large LED work lights that put a strain on my previous inverter after about an hour of runtime. Will update this review in 6 months. OH!! FYI I did not see a way to discharge this inverter!! So if you disconnect the battery cables at the battery after use ***DO NOT let the + & - cables (connected to inverter) touch each other! Most inverters have capacitors that store power. I have to confess I didn't read the book, so there maybe a grounded connection that solves this .. ... show more

  • Nice Quality
Size: 2000 Watts
This unit is quality. I find it to be of the level of quality you would find in a store. Many inverters on Amazon aren't the best of quality.... This one is well made and functions as advertised.
