The media could not be loaded. This pair of 10" saw blades by Smithology includes a regular and fine cutting blade for various materials and applications. The choice of teeth will depend on your application but I've been using the 40 tooth blade on 2" lumber and it cuts clean and fast with very little effort. These blades use a standard 5/8" arbor and will fit a variety of chop and table saws. These fit both my Delta compound miter saw and portable table saw. As these have a thinner kerf of less than 1/8", less material is removed and so lower powered or even cordless saws will have an easier time cutting thicker lumber. The slick anti-stick coating definitely helps these cut smoothly and minimizes friction but the material and speed of your cuts may affect this over time. My saw is not strictly heavy duty and I am not using using these blades at a commercial level so the durability and longevity is yet to be accessed. Also, the set up of your saw will play into how well these perform. Ensuring that the saw is well maintained and that the table fences are level and square will yield much better results no matter what blade you are using. At $32.98 for this two pack, they may be priced a little higher than some but considering the results I've had so far I'll give these 5 stars.

I put one of the 40-tooth blades on my Makita circular saw and it went through a 2x4 like butter, leaving a very smooth cut. The 60 tooth blade should give an even smoother cut. They are a little thin, so maybe not as robust as thicker blades, but for how I cut they should work well.

I finally got around to using this blade on my portable table saw that I use for fencing and siding projects. I find thin kerf blades are easier to eyeball slightly curved cuts on long boards. It cuts very well and since it’s a thin kerf, even underpowered table size like mine can rip two by fours with no problem. I would not put this blade on either of my Delta cabinet saws for woodworking projects since thin kerf blades tend to deflect a bit and leave poor finishes, but for rough projects, this is a good blade. Time will tell how long it lasts, but it has not lost any sharpness over the first few days of use for me.

I've been using these blades for about 3 weeks now. And i'm really happy with the way they cut. They leave very little waste due to their really narrow kerf. That can be a plus or a minus for heat dissipation but we'll see. The teeth are sharp and precise and cut some of the cleanest lines. My DeWalt chop law has ever done. I used the other one on my tablesaw. Both never cut better. Even smoother than the diablo blades I replaced.

I've been using these on a DeWalt table saw. I do a lot of woodworking and I make electric guitars. I have been using these to cut white pine, maple, madrone, oak, and a few other hard woods. They have been cutting clean and smoothly through every thing I've thrown at them. So far they have not shown any signs of dulling. I'm hoping they will last for a while. They cut well.

I mostly work with semi hard to hard woods. The 40 tooth Smithology blades made decent cuts with no tearing in 1.5" hard wood, and the 60 tooth Smithology blade made very smooth fine cuts. The Smithology blades do a decent job ripping and cross cutting plywood. These are great smooth cutting finishing type blades. The price is comparable to other brands making these blades a reasonable choice. I found no cons to report.

I’m in the process of building a garden shed using up a bunch of salvaged 2 x 4s and OSB. I really like the price of used materials (free), but sometimes you have to pay to play and that’s exactly what happened- I hit a broken screw with my radial arm saw and it did some damage to the blade. It still cut, but complained loudly while leaving a rough cut. Then at just the right time my new Smithology 10 inch saw blades arrived and made it all better. I’m using the 32 tooth blade right now and I’m very pleased with its cutting ability. Not only is the process quieter, I’m impressed by the smoothness of cuts on this lumber, so included a picture for comparison. The Smithology blade cut the smooth one. I’m expecting a long life for these blades as long as I don’t hit another screw or nail, but the reasonable price tag makes even something like that a lot less painful.
