  • Be alert and vigilant!
If you've worked with air fryers before, you should be more " at-home " with the Emeril Power Air fryer 360 Max. Not so, for me. I like the size ( I have the XL model ). It will cook a lot of stuff, once I get the " hang " of this thing. The unit is a handful, but reasonably compact. It takes a few inches more of counter space than my microwave. So how does it cook? That's where being vigilant and alert come into play. So far, 1 ( one ) meatloaf ( 2 lbs g. turkey, 3 eggs, 3 handfuls of oatmeal, peppers and seasonings ), baked at 375 for 65 minutes. It was slightly overbaked, with sticking sides and bottom. Still, very good texture and flavor. 2- 1inch pork chops, air fried for 25 min/side at 350 degrees. Nice texture and tender. 1 mac & cheese casserole. 350 degrees for 40 min. Nice, but probably better baked 10 minutes less. 2 loaves of sweet potato bread. Baked for an hour each at 350. Good ( will try baking at 325 deg ) Finally, toast. 4 slices at a pop. Unit calls for 4:45 for medium brown at 160 deg. The first time, I started the bread on the wrong shelf, too low. I lost a couple of minutes. When the time expired, it wasn't even close to brown, so I ran the program again. After 6 minutes, total time, I saw the bread begin to toast. I let the unit run to completion. My toast was really that! Nice and brown, crunchy, with no moisture inside. The second batch was no better than the first, even though I got the shelf correct at start-up. The toast aside, I think I'm going to enjoy using the air fryer. With no prior experience, using recipes and cooking procedures tailored to traditional baking, I don't think I did too bad. I see the potential for convenience, reduced cooking time, and healthier meals. I've got some learning to do. But then, I don't need to be like Emeril! ... show more

  • Easy decision
Generally not one to write a review but after getting my 360, I had to. I did have the benefit of previously sampling food cooked in it at a buddy's house and it was terrific, so I already knew what I was getting into in terms of flavor but man is it easy to use! Wife was skeptical at first as my friend is not a chef by any stretch of the imagination but has jumped onboard now that she has had the chance to use it. Package arrived sooner than was expected which is always nice especially this time of year and the unit is very user friendly. Made a couple things already but the favorite has to be the rotisserie chicken that was easy and perfectly done. Nice crispy skin and the chicken perfectly cooked. Everything has come out looking and more importantly, TASTING amazing. If you like easy to use cooking devices that can put out a lot of delicious food, look no further. ... show more

  • Good, but S L O W
I did a lot of research. Had a Breville toaster oven that was very good, but it finally died after 5+ years. Breville quality went down and the price went up, so that was out. I like this oven compared to what's out there - and there are lots of crummy choices. But if I had to buy this again, I would buy the SMALLER version. This larger oven needs three heating elements on top and bottom, not two. The inside is larger and makes heating slower. It does a good job with toast if you don't mind waiting 8 minutes for just before dark. I just work around it. I got the larger oven because I hoped to air fry multiple things at once, but I can see now that because of it's size, there's a tradeoff. They should have built the heating for its size. Also, the "pre-heat" I noticed is time-based, not temperature. If you run the oven at 400 for 20 minutes to cook something and then you stop it and start again, it goes through "Pre-heat" again. Obviously, that would not be necessary if measured by temperature. Not sure if pre-heat is hotter or at temperature set. The air fryer works well but again on the slow side with frozen fries. I used the broiler for the first time yesterday - did a reasonable job, but it did light the bottom heating element in addition to the top one. That makes it more of a bake than a broil as far as I am concerned. They must have cheaped -out by only controlling both heating elements instead of being able to control each one separately. It did come with two airfry baskets and a baking pan, which I didn't expect, but was happy about. I have not used rotisserie - it's a nice idea, but does anyone really use this? I will maybe try to make a chicken schwarma one of these days when ambitious. I just pulled an Italian GF frozen pizza (amazing) out after following package instructions (425, 11 mins, no convection). It came out just right. Ate the whole thing before I thought of taking a picture of it. :) The controls are a little funky, but you get used to them. When you look to purchase an oven, rule out the ones that put the controls across the top -- dumb design that causes controls to heat and break. I really didn't want to buy this -- I am no Emeril fan and I don't like enriching him. But I wanted a simpler toaster oven with good features, and this was the best one that fit the criteria and decent reviews. I'm mostly happy with it, but did purchase the 3 year warranty since these types of appliances are not made to the highest standard. ... show more
