Glowed and was visible and usable for far beyond it's stated usage as many have stated. Can't say how long they will last in terms of shelf life, but the brightness and longevity have impressed me. The reason I bring up shelf life is that I had some old cyalume glow sticks a few years past their expiry date and seemed fine. I can't say if this will be the case with these brand, but if you intend on using them within their expiry date and/or for non-emergency purposes I would definitely recommend these. ... show more

Wanted glow sticks that were at least 6" long, and that would last for a long time. These seem to fill that need. I tested one by activating it around 5 pm and let it sit for a full 12 hours. At 5 am, the glow stick was still illuminating. Course by then, the light was about 25% of what it had been at the start. Even 5 hours later - there was still a bit of glow - maybe 2%. I got these glowsticks to have as "Light Up Nametags" with my friends while hiking the Ape Caves (a cave system in southern Washington.) Since we were in a group of 5, we each were given our own color to use. We all opened our glowsticks at the same time, cracked them at the same time, and this gave us a unique opportunity to test each glowstick. This is what we found: Green is the brightest color. By far. I could tell exactly where my friend was at all times. Blue and Red are tied for second place. They're very vibrant and bright, but they don't provide much light. For our intended use, they worked great. But, don't go thinking that they will light a path for you. Yellow comes in at third. Not impressed, but not the worst. White is last place. My boyfriend wore this color, and oh my goodness I kept looking for him when he was right next to me. Trust me when I say the white color is WEAK. It looked like someone was shining a flashlight into a gallon jug of milk. Now, with that being said, these suckers last a LONG time. We hiked the entire cave system and were back to our car in about 3 hours. But, even after the hour drive home and getting dinner, they were STILL glowing bright 6 hours after we cracked them. All in all, I'm happy with what I received for the cost I paid. In the future, I might see about ordering all green ones or all blue (if they come up with that option). If you're looking for some great glowsticks, then look no further. Even with my qualms about them they are still the best glowsticks I have used. ... show more

These glow lights are just great. The green ones are the brightest color of all of them. I had a light bulb problem in my bathroom so needed these in order to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. And the same 3 glow lights lasted 3 full nights until I could get my light bulbs fixed. Three full nights! I think that is Amazing!! ... show more

These are great affordable glow sticks. Keep in car for emergency or camping. These stayed luminescent for over 24 hrs and as they fade, could be left as markers for a couple more days. Adequate light for a tent or getting around the house in a power outage. And endless other uses.
