We live out in the woods and spend a LOT of time outside, day and night. We go through a lot of headlamps and we are pretty hard on them. After a few weeks of use, these are still going strong. They came with batteries, which was a plus and I love that you can adjust the head strap so it's comfortable. They also have an extra strap that goes over your head which helps keep them from falling down into your eyes. The lamp itself is hinged so you can tilt it down towards the ground if needed. I haven't noticed any dimming yet with the provided batteries so they're already doing well. The only thing that would make these better is if they were rechargeable, but since battery life seems to go for a few weeks at least, that's not much of an issue especially for the value. We'll keep beating them up but so far it looks like they're going to keep up! ... show more

    • Good Value Headband Lights
Top of the line $100+ dollar headband lights are worth it if you're doing wildnerness hiking or working in search and rescue or some other major activity, but these lights are great for working with your car, storage areas, or for home emergency kits. They are inexpensive but provide good light output with their 8 LED bulbs. The push switch is easy to use and has 3 light settings plus a flashing mode. This is a lightweight unit that uses 2 AAA bulbs, which are remarkably easy to install from a screw off end cap of the unit, unlike others which require disassembly . It can be set as a straight ahead light or set to decline at 2 different angles. One feature I thought seemed a little silly when looking at this on-line turns out to be exceptionally good - the fact that the easily adjustable headband also has an an adjustable strap that goes across the top of the head. This makes this by far the most comfortable unit like this I've ever used, and almost insures that it won't come off easily. I bought 5 so far and will be ordering more for family, as well as recommending these replace the flashlights for teachers in our elementary school's emergency kits. ... show more

    • Decent cheap lights
All of the reviews do not seem to be for the same product. This review is for an approximately $20 five pack of EverBrite brand LED headlamps sold by Great Star and fulfilled by Amazon: 5-Piece of 8 LED Headlight with 30 Lumens Convenient push on/off button 4 modes of light switching Pivoting head and adjustable headband 15-piece Everbrite AAA batteries included These lights have no charging ports as referenced in at least one review. They are not heavy or large and bulky. In fact they are smaller and lighter than my relatively expensive multifunction Inova brand headlamps. They are thicker than my Yalumi brand compact headlamps but are about the same weight. There is one little thing every buyer should know. NONE OF THE LIGHTS WORKED. I simply could not believe that all five were defective or that all of the batteries were dead. So, being stubborn and a trained analyst and investigator, I ACCIDENTALLY discovered that you must remove the battery unit and take a disk out of the bottom of the battery compartment to make the lights work. I wonder how many customer complaints are caused by this problem for which there were no instructions. I still think that I would have arrived at the solution through calm analysis and investigation but the accident got me there quicker. As is so often the case. A few days after I distributed the lights around the house, our 8 year old brought one to me saying that it needed fresh batteries. We discovered that to turn on the light, it was necessary to hold the on/off button down for a few moments until the light came on, then release the button. At about $4 apiece, including batteries, I do not expect the same quality or durability as headlamps costing $15 to $50 each. I got what I expected - headlamps that are perfectly suitable for going to feed the animals after dark in a familar area and for use around the house during power outages. They also give our 8 year old lights to use which keeps her away from my more expensive, ready to go tactical and emergency lights. Get a grip people, if you are looking for the reliability and durability of Inova, Streamlight, etc., you will have to pay for it. Or maybe experiment with a lot of different cheap brands. Meanwhile, EverBrite is fine for what it is and for the incredibly low price. ... show more

    • Perfect for crab hunting on the beach!
10/10 recommend!! I bought these for crab hunting while at the beach! Our kids (7&9) were able to wear them too because you can tighten/loosen! Every one else on the beach had their phone flashlights out so only had one hand do hunt with. (Which if you’ve been crab hunting, it takes all you have to catch those fast little things lol) I would assume it’d be the same any time you needed both hands. The light has different brightness and even a strobe light option. I don’t regret this purchase at all! ... show more
