  • Sturdy and works as expected
This glider is great. Sturdy and compact. My spouse and I both use it. It comes already assembled with just a few add on to complete. The cost is almost half of the other brand name glider and works just as well. Would highly recommend this exercise equipment.

  • Constantly makes squeaky noises!
Most of the product was already assembled when shipped but the right side of this machine makes loud squeaky noises when you are using it and that's extremely annoying. Also for the handles bars, the left and right sides are mismatched. The black covering is higher on one side than the other. Update: After a few days, now the left side makes noises too when using the machine. The machine is basically useless now since it's making so many noises. Extremely poor quality with how the machine is put together. ... show more

  • Low Impact Movement
This product does look like the picture. However my photos show some items to consider. First, you can notice from the two shipping/box photos that the Styrofoam was already broken and had moved when I received the package. The machine came with a small red metal water bottle which was also dented when I received it. It's not for everyone since it's for low impact and has no resistance. However, for someone who is just trying to get some kind of movement in, it would be fine. Assembly: The instructions are minimal, but you can figure it out. You first need to untangle (flip the foot pedals up and over) the cords and then screw in the handlebars. One of my handlebars had lost a screw and washer, but I found them in the box. It didn't take too long, but it made a huge mess because the Styrofoam and plastic wrap were hard to contain. Usage: I love how quiet this machine is. When I first started using it, for the first 5 minutes, it made no noise at all. However, after that time, I started to hear a rhythmic faint creaking coming from the right joint. The noise wasn't too loud and didn't bother me personally. I placed the machine's legs on an exercise mat for absorption and floor protection. I noticed that if i went too fast or if I didn't place my feet evenly on the pedals that the machine would make a thumping noise as my weight shifted. There are no tension controls and there is no tension or resistance. Basically this machine just helps you to swing your legs back and forth for some light movement. If this is what you're looking for, then this is perfect. I can see this being an alternative to a slow walk. Concerns: I noticed a screw (see photo showing close up of the pole) sticking out of one of the poles. However, I think those two screws are for mounting the included water bottle holder. I didn't mount it since I don't think I need it, but also I didn't see any instructions about this. Also, in my first 15 minutes of "gliding", a screw fell from the machine onto the floor. I couldn't figure out where it had come from, but it's kind of a concern. Lastly, on the third photo which shows the two handlebars, you will notice that the left handlebar is higher than the right one. It appeared to me that the screw holes were slightly high, so I had to screw the handlebar in slightly higher. ... show more

  • Not impressed, although it'll work ok for us
I got this glider air walker cross trainer because we had some specific needs. First, it had to be something we could easily set up and tear down because we didn’t have a space to dedicate to something that would be left out all the time. Next, we needed something for the arms and the legs. And it also had to be something that would support up to 250 lbs. This machine looked like it would work for all of our requirements. It also had some other features like an LCD monitor for the time, calories and total count that operated with a single button. The base is carbon steel and looked sturdy. I was pretty pleased with the heavy duty metal frame but it has about the worst assembly manual. There isn’t decent basic instructions to put this thing together. It has a little Allen wrench with a Philips head screwdriver on the other end that was barely adequate for some of the screws. I have a good Allen wrench that worked for it, but if a tool is included with a fairly expensive piece of exercise equipment, it should at least be able to work as intended. The LCD monitor is battery powered but the case on our machine doesn’t fit quite right. It doesn’t stay steady but shifts with the movement of the machine. We all wear watches that keep track of the same things so have depended on those instead so it doesn’t matter to us that it doesn’t seem to work right. However, it is part of the package and should work. There is an inexpensive-looking metal water bottle and holder to attach to the frame that came with the screws for the assembly. Stepping on it was challenging. There’s nothing to hold it steady while you’re trying to get on it. The glide has nothing to control intensity and it moved quickly when I barely stepped on it. With practice, the 17-year-old, the wife and I was able to use it and us older ones felt the burn immediately in the arm muscles. Maybe because we weren’t used to it enough to get good leg extension, we didn’t feel it so much there. It does cause the hips and waist to move so when we trust that we know what we’re doing, we probably will get a decent workout. It does squeak so irritating to the family when they're trying to watch TV or read. The three of us have used it for over a week and I think it’s going to be okay for us in spite of the problems I’ve mentioned. I can see getting something like this just to see if it’s something that’ll be used consistently, then plan to advance to a better cross trainer. If you’ve already used an air glider a lot, you’d probably be happier with something that’s more advanced or heavy duty. The big box stores all have similar pieces of equipment or like my daughter reminded me, the workout place where we have a membership also has air walkers. ... show more

  • Movement is okay, more for lighter people,
This is a very nice machine but I would say it's more for lighter people. It is more for people under 250 as my daughter rides it with ease but I'm close to 290 and I can still ride it though I feel wobbly on it. It is though a really good deal and it gives her a good workout and the ability to do her workout from home. Its a well-designed machine and mine doesn't make any sounds or clicks when using it. It's quiet and smooth and works excellently. ... show more
