This item is wonderful, I deduct a star cuz it's too big. I measured the are to put it in and it fit but I didn't consider measuring the sink to wash it; Sadly to say my sink can't rally fit this and it's a bit difficult for me to clean due to it's size, but it's really easy to clean and the non-stick is really good; Nothing sticks on it and with hot water mot of the mess rinses off, but I use soap to get the grease off it. The temp. is hard to be exact, but I don't see it as an issue, I turn it up to near the highest point and throw in whatever i need to grill. Burgers come out great and so does bacon since the oil drips away from it. The heating unit is snug fit, will take force to remove and put on. The grill pan seems to conduct heat very well, I turn on full hot water to wash it and the thing becomes hot to the point of discomfort, not a bad thing, good for cooking. I 100% recommend this, just note there is a smaller version but it's on another page and cost more. I couldn't ask for a better indoor grill at such a good price (Price was $35, the smaller was $40) ... show more

While I've only used this a couple of times so far, I can tell I'm going to like it ... a lot! The non-stick coating has held up well in the dishwasher. I saw a review where they complained about the back rusting ... to me the back appears to be aluminum, so I don't see how that could rust, but I suppose anything is possible. It will discolor in the dishwasher, but anything aluminum will do that. It's the backside and it doesn't affect the cooking ability of the grill. I have found the temperature probe to be responsive to changes to either raise or lower the temperature. And, yes, the lid isn't very tall, but it's a grill ... not a roaster. I have an outdoor grill (2 of them in fact) but to fire either one up to cook only 1 steak is kind of counter-productive. I love food cooked outside on a charcoal grill, but this is a lot more convenient. I bought the 11 inch size since I only cook for 1 or 2 and I think it's the perfect size for me. I do agree with some who think the shape would be more efficient if it were square, I knew what I was getting when I ordered it so I'm not taking any stars off for that. Unfortunately our society has come to accept that just about everything is disposable. Nothing is built to last for years and years anymore. But for the price, I'm OK if I have to replace this in a few years. ... show more

I ordered this because I don't like to fry meat in the house, I don't like the splatter or lingering odors. I can use this out on the patio or even in the garage (Crazy I know, but I do the same thing with a crock pot) The 11" size (I'm cooking for 2) it was large enough for 4, 4" hamburger patties-- 3 bone in pork chops, the griddle heated up nicely (425) the burgers charred up really well--and very evenly. but remained medium rare inside, the drip tray did indeed collect grease. Assembly and clean up was easy. I would buy it again ... show more

LOVE this indoor grill!! I live in swamp country and have terrible allergies so going outside to grill was becoming impossible. This grill does a fantastic job replicating that grilled flavor! It's not as smoky as a charcoal grill of course but certainly better than just a skillet! You can fit quite a lot of food on the 14" model! Great for housing your own indoor barbeque! Set up was easy. There was some pretty unpleasant off gassing in the first 15 minutes of use so I recommend opening a window on the first use till it's funny warmed up ... show more

I love this grill. I have had other table top grills and/or griddles. Big George grills, all smoked and it was hard to control the heat and ALL were a pain in the butt to clean up. And dish washer safe heat plates my big dimpled butt. But the Elite Gourmet is almost truly smokeless, with it it’s more of a puff of heated moister escaping and not smoke from burning meat like others. At 14 inches it’s big enough to cook your meat on and make a side of veggies. I put a little bit of olive oil on mine before I cook and I do not max my temp out. The grill heat cycles great, I can control how well cooked I want my meat and veggies. The lid is very nice for cooking the longer to cook things like bone in chicken drum sticks and thighs, Clean up is super easy. Unplug it. Let it cool a little. Left up one side to let left over grease run into little grease holder. The size of grease holder is my only complaint. It could stand to be a little bit bigger. But just watch the grease level in it while cooking multiple burgers. If it’s filling up, you can hurry and dump grease into small bowl. But after it cools, you can pull the grill plate up out of the plastic housing and sink wash lid, housing, and grease catch. And paper towel or grill rag clean the heat plate. And it’s ready to go for next time in just minutes. This grill is much easier to clean than many others. ... show more

This is a great product at an affordable price. So far I cooked a steak in it and it cooked evenly and came out perfect. I was worried about how much smoke would be emitted but to my surprise, it was minimal. I placed it on top of the stove under the range hood and used the exhaust fan to help reduce the smoke - but even if you don’t do that, I think the smoke is not a huge problem. ... show more
