I didn't have very high hopes for this, having been told that, no, air fried food didn't taste like deep fried food, so I didn't expect I'd use it very often--Amazon had it for half the list price so I took a chance. First thing I made was frozen breaded cod filets and frozen seasoned fries. It's a small fryer so I did the two things separately--fifteen minutes each, stopping halfway through to turn or shake them. I have air fry cookbook that recommended getting a spray bottle for oil and spraying them at the beginning and in the middle of cooking, so I did. Everything came out perfectly. The fish tasted like fried fish, the fries tasted like fries. It's quick to use, and a breeze to clean, it doesn't take up a lot of space when not in use. I tried making fries with just a sliced up potato and they were considerably paler and plainer than the frozen ones, but they still tasted good. The basket is non-stick, and it's hard to know how long that kind of surface will last, but so far I'm having a very good time using this, and have recommended this unit to several family members. ... show more

This is my first air fryer and I couldn’t be more pleased! It’s a perfect size for two people. Cooks well, cute-looking and takes little counter space. I’ve enjoyed getting used to air-frying and will probably “graduate” to one just a bit bigger (maybe a microwave/air-fryer combination as my current microwave is on its last legs!). I read it was Teflon-free, which it might be because it hasn’t peeled in two years, just some small nicks which is typical for ceramic pans. I really enjoyed it these last two years, super easy to use and super cute. Sturdy durable. But it’s environmentally unfriendly since it does with light use in just 2 years! I’m pretty bummed..it was used only 3-10 times a month and for only 5-10 mins each time. It just turned off in the middle of use and there’s simply no power. I should’ve known… It’s cute and cheap. While my Delonghi toaster oven is going strong and baking beautifully for 8 years now! And I bake on high heat to toast veggies all the time. Hmpf ... show more
